Just another one of his dry, stupid jokes—something about his dinner being so terrible he was convinced the restaurant was trying to assassinate him with undercooked chicken. He'd probably attached one of those ridiculous GIFs he was always finding, something animated and silly that was meant to make me laugh.

He grinned, wiggling his fingers mysteriously. “It’s called ‘Story Fingers.’ You take turns telling a story, but here’s the catch—you can only speak one sentence at a time, and you have to include a finger count with each sentence. For example, I start with ‘One fox ran across the river,’ and then you continue with two of something happening, and so on. It gets tricky, and hilarious, especially after a few rounds.” Jaiyana laughed, already intrigued. “Sounds… complicated. But fun. Okay, I’m in.”

Eliana’s POV My throat is getting hurt from all the laugh I have been doing because of Katelyn’s stories. “Where did you get all these stories from? You said you are busy with something but it seems like you have been on social media, rummaging for all these!” I told Katelyn while laughing. It honestly feels like ages since I laugh this hard. It’s just so funny I could literally roll on the ground while laughing, if anyone would not mind.

Lenox pov Okay, so I didn’t get to see chihuahua faes attack the moron, but that doesn’t mean I won’t find some other way to have some fun around this guy. So far, the best I could think of is telling scary stories, and what’s even better is that this dude inhales each word like it’s true. “No! What do you say? Even though I hate exercises, damn it's really exhausting. But it's a different thing that the whole day I sit here in the cafe and laugh, make weird expressions, sometimes talk in different voices or maybe embarrassing sounds I create. But it's a total fun not boring, and exhaustion is common in every work so it's your choice what you want to do, the thing which is boring and a kind of headache for you or the thing that makes you feel better, something amusing that you yearn to do. That’s just how we are. The laughter dies down gradually, and the table falls into an easy rhythm, voices overlapping as the guys trade more stories, some just ridiculous enough to be true. Rich launches into another one, probably exaggerated, but it’s hard to tell with him. He gestures wildly, sending his fork clattering onto his plate, and the way he tells it is funny enough that even Dante, who usually has a razor-sharp comeback, ends up laughing too hard to speak.

“Oh, I don’t know if I can top you accidentally spilling coffee on your boss!” Daniel chuckled. “Come on, try me!” “Well…,” she hesitated, then laughed, “there was this one time I tripped at work while carrying a huge stack of files. They went flying everywhere, and everyone just stopped to stare. I was mortified!” Daniel burst out laughing, and his laugh was so genuine that Sophia couldn’t help but laugh too. “Okay, that’s definitely on the list of ‘greatest hits’! But, hey, at least you didn’t spill coffee on anyone’s lap!”
