She touched my face and said, “You always look so sad in winter.” I kissed her then. I remember the feel of her lips, soft and chapped, the way her fingers threaded into my hair. Her body, limp. I never found her after that. When I woke hours later, she was gone. There was just the blood in the snow and loud silence in my head.

Keith was loud enough so Red and Phil heard his groan upstairs in the bedroom. After Keith had given Sam all he had to give they shared a long, sloppy snowball kiss followed by the last of a nearby bottle of champaign. He nodded in understanding before scooching closer to me and grabbing the bowl of popcorn. The beginning credits of the movie began and let me get comfortable. Midway through the movie I noticed Xavier was putting a Snow Cap candy in his mouth with a piece of popcorn. I looked at him with an amused expression. Sensing my gaze, he looked at me while slowly chewing on his salty sweet concoction. He raised an eyebrow at me in question. I pointed to the box of snow caps. “Who eats Snow Caps? I’ve never seen that mix before.”

My fingers itched to remove her mask, to see the face behind her enchanting voice and piercing amber eyes. "Do you believe in it?" I asked. "It's the most absurd thing I've ever heard in my life," she rolled her eyes. "What about you? Do you believe in it?" "I think it's bullshit too. I mean, a kiss makes two people love each other forever? Seriously?" I ans

Even Lolo stood nearby kicking at him, but Loki refused to let go. At last I couldn’t hold it in any longer and burst out laughing. Snowflakes, like fragments of white petals, drifted down upon us, settling on our bodies and in his rose-colored hair. The kiss lasted a long time. At the end, Loki whispered softly in my ear, “Have you rested well today?” It had been very cold, but the moment he said that, my face still flushed uncontrollably. “…Mm.”
