Chase sighed with relief. "I'm finally done with it!" He wiped away his sweat and smiled. That was when his smile froze on his face. He saw a dark, sinister black arrow come whooshing through the sky. It was aimed right at his head. Shocked, he quickly turned to dodge the arrow. The arrow brushed by his ear and struck a rock right next to him. Chase looked at it and found the arrow in the rock to be dark like ink. It was black and looked like it was made out of unique material.

No. I pushed the thought away, there was no time and Nyra charged next. Her blade flashed toward his neck and he slipped around her effortlessly. She spun, kicking toward his ribs as he blocked with one forearm. The force cracked the stones beneath his feet and she wasn't holding back. Neither was he. Aria joined from the rooftops and arrow after arrow flew toward his blind spots. The stranger raised one hand and darkness twisted through the air, every arrow froze and then turned. "No!" I sprinted.

I let myself dwell in the sadness, in the misery, and I— Suddenly, my vision went black. No, not literally black. It was dimmed and when I looked beside me, there was a stranger sitting beside me. As my vision were still blurry, not to mention that the sunglasses made it worse, I can't see his face clearly. Not that it actually made it worse.
