Henry asked. I turned around so they could see my hair. Normally my hair is a deep fiery red. But now I have yellowish and orange streaks through it making it look like it is on fire. “ Oh Goddess.” Calissa gasped. “ I can see why you screamed.” Melissa said. “ Right. But how did this happen? It wasn’t like this when I went to sleep.” I asked. “ We have no idea.” Calissa said. “ Aiden, you need to get Lexi to Riverclaw. You need to talk to their elders. We will be right behind you.” Henry said. The next thing I know my hair is covered up with a scarf borrowed from Calissa and we are all running out the door.

Annabelle suggested with a sly smile. I glanced at her, half-expecting her to laugh and take it back, but she only raised an eyebrow, daring me to go for it. The stylist nodded enthusiastically. “Blonde would be stunning on you. Something sleek and modern to bring out your features.” I hesitated, chewing on the inside of my cheek. Blonde was… drastic. But then again, why not? “Let’s do it,” I said, surprising even myself. Annabelle’s eyes widened as the stylist started sectioning my hair. “You’re really going blonde?” she asked, her tone teetering between genuine surprise and something else I couldn’t quite place.

I spun toward the small dressing mirror by the wall. What I saw made my knees weaken. “What?” The word fell from my lips like a whisper. There it was. Clear as daylight. Green. My hair. My precious blue hair, the color I had known since birth, was streaked with sparkling green. Thin at first, then deeper as it spread through the strands like wildfire. The glow of it shimmered faintly under the light, unnatural, alive. “No, no, no…” My fingers clawed at it as if rubbing hard could wipe the color away. But it stayed, brighter with every touch.

Stepping out of the bathroom, I barely had a chance to take a breath before Danielle gasped. "You look so beautiful! Let me do your hair!" she squealed excitedly. I instinctively moved to cover the scars and marks on my arms, remnants of my time as a rogue. "Fine," I sighed. "Only because I don’t know how to do my own hair." As she sat me down and started running her fingers through my tangled strands, she paused. "Have these white streaks always been in your hair?" she asked curiously. I nodded. "Yeah, I was born with them. Even if I cut my hair, they always grow back." I shrugged.

Blue eyes, blonde hair, and whispers in the wind. I woke with a start, unease clawing at my chest. This was the third night, the same dream haunting me. In the bathroom, I splashed water on my face, seeking solace in the coolness. As I lifted my gaze, the mirror revealed a shocker. My hair, once a rich blonde, now cascaded down my back in a river of white. Not gray, not silver, but a radiant, snowy hue, eerily reminiscent of the woman in my dream.

And she could see that the mark on her neck was glowing. "Oh my God, what is happening to me, what is happening to me?" she sobbed quietly as she didn't want to wake Kristen up. She closed and opened her eyes severally but still saw the same thing. It also seemed that her hair had gotten longer but the red streaks were too glaring. How would she explain to Kristen about what happened to her hair. She couldn't let her see this.

3 days later…… My body is finally adjusted and I can get out of bed without falling down from pain. I head downstairs where everyone is eating breakfast, and they all stop eating to stare at me. “What?” I say. “Am I not allowed to eat with everyone anymore?” Matt rushes over to me to tell me in my ear, that my hair has changed again. My hair is now a midnight blue, with purple, black and red streaks in it, and it almost looks like an ombre color with pink ends. It also now reaches halfway down my back.

Stacie had a French twist in her silky blonde hair adorned with soft rose pink ribbon and a matching Lily by her ear. This matched the white pencil skirt and blazer she wore, a silk dress shirt beneath it in soft rose. “You look lovely, by the way. Very professional and lady-like.” I complimented her as she smiled proudly. “Even if you do snore a little.” Her mouth fell open and we started a typical sibling squabble of choruses consisting of ‘yes you do’ and ‘no I don’t’ until we were both laughing too hard to continue.

Then, with Lily's help I was able to bleach my silky brunette hair, to a new dirty blonde colour. After the hair makeover, we stood in front of the big mirror in the bathroom's open area, turning and changing poses as we admired our new look. It's not as good as plastic surgery, but I'm sure we'd be able to fool a lot of people with this new look. Only someone who looked very closely enough would be able to tell that we're the same people in the wanted posters. I can't wait to see the look on Drax's face when he sees us for the first time with our new hair.
