Orion says putting one finger to his lips. "Why?" I say laughing. "Don't fuck with the moon" Orion says then he changes to a deep booming mocking voice "SHE WILL STRIKE YOU DOWN!" He adds as he waves his arms in the air dramatically. I roll my eyes at Bonnie. "God he's just like you with his stupid voices" I tease. Bonnie narrows her eyes and I instantly know her stupid accented voice is coming. "I don't know what you mean" Bonnie says in her count Dracula voice.

“You’re a failure wearing a crown far too heavy for your fragile spirit.” Rage surged through me, giving me one last burst of strength… just enough to shove his hand away. I panted, leaning forward on one hand, blood dripping from my mouth. “You talk… too much…” I rasped. His smile widened, revealing his elongated fangs. “Then let me speak in a language you understand.” Before I could move, he struck. Pain detonated through my body as his fangs pierced deep into my neck. My scream tore out of me.

I had thought the man an easy score, a billionaire who wouldn’t care about losing a couple million. “You will get me my money, wolf.” The older man said as his thugs stepped back for him to assess their work. “For your sake, I hope you never enter my territory again.” “Who are you?” I gurgled through the blood filling my mouth. “William Striker.” He sneered. “My name alone should have kept the likes of you from running your con.”

Tim said, and I frowned at him. "I don't only work for you, Luna, I put it upon myself to spy for you, and I have listened to Lola's conversation when she hoped to get even with you because of Adam. She says her parents are in support and are waiting for the right opportunity to strike," He said, and I leaned closer because I wanted to know what he meant by striking. "The bloods are planning an uprising against Adam. They want things to go back to the way they were." He said.

It sloshed around until it filled to the top. Veronica removed the needle and the smell of her blood wafted up to me. I was still in my demon form! Shit! My bloodlust started to come out as my eyes instantly went to the spot where a drop of blood seeped out over her fair skin. My throat started to burn and itch as it began to crave for blood. I gulped and forced my eyes to look away. After the second vial was full, it felt like pure torture. Veronica bandaged up Arisa, stopping the bleeding but it was too late. The smell of blood filled the room.

We began circling each other until he pulled out a knife. I chuckled. “Playing dirty, huh?” “You Americans always cry when you bleed,” he said in broken English. “I will carve you like fish.” “All the best.” I wiped sweat off my forehead, as he lunged. I dodged the first strike. But the second time, he was fast. Too fast. The blade caught my right side, just below the ribs, slicing through my shirt and skin in one long brutal drag. “Fuck—” I grunted, stumbling back, clutching my side. Hot blood poured between my fingers.

Having learned several languages growing up I knew everything he had said. 'Get off of me' and 'Get off wolf Get off', those are the words he had yelled at Adrian before I watched my mate open his mouth wide and close his jaws around the man's head. The blood sprayed almost immediately with the killing blow happening in an instant. But the blood looked strange somehow, it wasn't red, really. Well, maybe it could be called red if you're being generous, but it was a red so dark that it looked almost black. I didn't envy Adrian for having to taste that foul looking blood.

I snatched a doily off of the side table and tried to wrap my arm but it soaked with blood instantly. Hashem was slowly getting to his feet and I turned to face him. “You are a traitor and you will die a coward’s death,” I said, in a whisper but loud enough for him to hear. I reached for my shard as he lunged toward me with a piece of glass. I was just barely able to move and he tried again to swipe at me, this time he connected and got my side. FUCK! I was going to pass out soon, it was too much. Blood, there was blood everywhere. The yelling, the voices and the footsteps were everywhere now, close and I heard the voices yelling in English.

This case can never be simple. “Who was with him at the time of the incident? Can you narrate what happened?” I asked, reaching for his nose to check his breathing. But even before I touched him, I already knew it was useless. He was stone cold, dead, totally and completely dead. A deep claw mark severed the artery on his neck, ensuring that he wouldn't have the luxury of survival.
