the man laughed as he watched his friend regain his balance. “If ye knock me on me ass, Jeffrey, I swear I’ll kick yer damn balls!” The man named Seth snarled back at his friend. He threw a punch, hitting his partner in the side which caused a sharp gasp of pain to force out of the guy named Jeffrey’s throat. They exchanged a look between each other before both of them started to laugh like fools. “Would yah idiots hush up! I ain’t hearing yah giggle like school girls all night.” Another voice shouted from behind them, causing me to let out a startled gasp.

It's pathetic! He dropped that bomb and strutted off before I could fire back. I could hardly believe my ears that such boneheaded words came from the man I have loved for years. His so-called 'cozy winter promos' were just a table with free cups of cheap black coffee and some giveaway gloves out front. The coffee often went cold, untouched, and those gloves ended up in the street bin. However, Seth, of course, thought they were pure gold. Somehow, I was the one cashing in on Lily's ideas!

He'd probably attached one of those ridiculous GIFs he was always finding, something animated and silly that was meant to make me laugh.

It was midnight and I was worried if I wouldn't sleep soon I wouldn't be able to attend my classes. I huffed in annoyance and sat up on the bed. I stood up and stepped out of the bedroom. I went to his bedroom and stood in front of the door like an idiot. I tried to knock the door twice but couldn't gather enough guts to do so. I finally gave up and knocked at his bedroom door shamelessly. In a minute, he opened the door. He looked sleepy. "Was he sleeping?" I thought to myself.

He had to accept it. His fingers whitened, crumpling the paper, and he laughed until tears streamed down his face. When he stopped, he slammed his fist down on the wooden table. His knuckles cracked, and blood dripped.

Bowen screamed. Everyone could hear the panic and hysteria in his voice. He stumbled off the stage, tripping and lurching toward the backstage area. In his panic, he didn't notice the steps. So, he twisted his ankle and fell straight down, rolling all the way down the stairs. The staff who were backstage finally snapped out of their daze. They fumbled in panic to shut off the screen. The giant screen went black in an instant. I became even more of a joke standing in front of the dark screen alone.

“If your family is stupid, will you be stupid as well!?” Her family was stupid?
