My heart races from the scares.
“What's the title?”
That's Christopher. His voice is a jumpscare. He's back, glass in hand, nearly empty, stepping closer with intrigued eyes.
“The Conjuring, the devil made me do it.” I answer and he sinks onto the couch. Not too close, but close enough I feel his warmth. His profile is mesmerizing, all sharp lines under the TV glow.
“I didn't know you fancied horror,” I say, my eyes on him instead of the screen.
