Thalia's POV. Rocco's eyes widened, but not from surprise. From amusement. He rose up slowly from the chair, his lips curling into the most evil smirk I’d ever seen. He lifted both hands in the air, “I surrender.” My heart skipped a beat. Why wasn't he scared? Why should I even bother? The plan was to kill him and go on with my life. I curled my fingers around the trigger, “Head or chest? Pick your best spot.”

Kamala asked and he nodded. “A couple of my crazy guys back in college spoke about it. So it was the fastest way to get the money that I could think of. I signed for one month and by two weeks, I was able to clear the debt and get my home back. I know my story sounds unbelievable in this century but it's my truth” Kamala pulled him in for a hug. They lay back down and she narrated her own story to him, her face wet with tears when she was done.

Shawn continued, a wicked smirk forming. Ally threw her head back and laughed so hard she almost lost her balance. “Oh my god, you’re insane.” “Listen, listen,” Shawn said quickly, grabbing her waist and tugging her closer. “Think about it. The look on his face. The absolute meltdown.” Ally shook her head, still half-laughing, half-horrified. “Bro… that’s nuclear. Like, Chernobyl-level bad. He might actually have a heart attack. Or murder us. Or both.”

I cussed to myself and finally the third which we just watched horrifically get eaten by crocodiles. We have walked a mile now and something kept bugging me, I could hear Mike's heart pounding like drums. Mike was an average height man, with glasses bigger than his face, he knew much about tales and myths like some mountain elf he forgets to live in the present. "Are you good Mike?" I called out trying to beat the whistling of the jungle, "your heart has been beating so loud, I can barely hear myself speak" I added to loosen up the mood. "Are you crazy?" He snapped back "Have you not heard the rumours?" His panting increased. "You mean, the rumours that brought us here in the first place?" T

As for Jack, he stood some distance away from all of them. Father asked Anne to needle the tip of her index finger and put the dripping blood into a small bowl of water. Father then recited spell after spell, and was greeted by the sect members who repeated the incantation while raising their hands and walking around them. A moment later, Anne felt that her head was hurting terribly. She couldn't help it and screamed out loud. Her eyes began to turn white and blood came out of her nose. Anne looked up and grinned horribly. For a moment Anne's face took on the appearance of a demon, which it wasn't her.

Dallas puts his hand up in surprise. I may only be five feet two, but I can kick a little ass when I need to. I didn't survive this long by hopping in fields and fluffing my bunny tail.

Ben’s eyes snapped open, and he gasped, pulling in air that tasted like ash. His body jerked with the instinct to flee, but there was nowhere to run. He was still on the cold ground, but the forest was no longer just an empty abyss. It was a labyrinth, a twisted landscape of trees with faces carved into their trunks, eyes staring out at him, watching, waiting.

Nora concluded in a silk undertone. Impressed by her good storytelling skills, the kids applauded her as they glued their vote stickers on the voting pad. However, amongst the other kids, some people weren't impressed—Gina Adams and minions. "Oh, PUURLEES. . . This is the lamest scary story in the history of lame scary stories," Gina jeered loudly, her tone wielding the usual amount of obnoxity.

There is just something about the dark that is so scary. I might be a werewolf but those ghost stories do scare the hell out of me. I kept imagining seeing things as we walked through the forest. A tree that looked like a giant person, a short person with a big head and no eyes. ‘Ahhhhh, what in the world is wrong with you? You are supposed to be the strongest, bravest she-wolf but here you are being afraid of ghosts,' my wolf said and I chuckled. I did that to wake her up, she had been too quiet for my liking.

the middle God Destroyer hissed, his voice dripping with venom, "your time as supreme gods is at an end. We, the Supreme God Destroyers, shall claim your power and make the werewolves our puppets!" The werewolves let out a collective gasp, their hearts pounding with fear and uncertainty. The Supreme God Destroyers were a force to be reckoned with, their power far exceeding that of any werewolf. The mere thought of them controlling the entire werewolf race sent shivers of dread down their spines.
