I was waiting for the right time to ask him about the gun in his bag, but I guess he wasn’t really hiding it from me in the first place.
After I put on a white shirt, I glanced at him again, already in his gray tee, leather jacket, and jeans - barefoot - he pulled out the gun from his bag.
Colt 45.
Sweet.
He caught my reflection staring at him; I didn’t look away while he watched me.
“You’ve seen one before?” His voice was curious, no hint of any hidden agenda there.
Huh. I guess I can read him just fine as well.
“Dad taught me,” I grabbed my white sneakers under the closet, sitting on the edge of the bed.
