I Am Mustafin

I Am Mustafin

Has my disrespect been warranted? Be smart. My resolve fractured, I finally forfeit. “Alaki Bea Miller.” I expect satisfaction in his eyes, but instead I see curiosity slowly shifting to awe. Again, it confuses me. “I was unaware that your last name still existed,” he admits. “I’ve only ever heard it in literature.” He’s never heard it before because only the superiors' names were deemed worthy. Diallo, Talos, Santos, Wen, and Mustafin are the only surnames that exist now.

What Hell May Come

What Hell May Come

“I can’t keep track of all these gawd-damned rules.” As Louis fumbled with his dice, Jon consulted his character. Crixen Runeburner, elf mage, tall and proud. He was from a noble line of adventurers and princes. Magical rings glistened on his fingers. Multi-colored robes flowed about his willowy frame. They mystically staved off attacks and turned back spells. Around his feet flowed silken boots that allowed him to run with the speed of a pony. His right hand held a mighty heft of oak, an enchanted quarterstaff of kicking-your-fucking-ass.

Selina's Dangerous Revenge

Selina's Dangerous Revenge

Chapter 19 Shadow gives out the result of his interrogation work by telling Gary and Joan that the idea of taking up Brainer's surname as their own was initiated by a mysterious person ten years ago. "Axel and Jasmine's real surname is Forendeu. They lived in an orphanage that was about to be disbanded because of insufficient funds. Mr. Forendeu has no recollection of that mysterious person's appearance. He only remembers the part where he and his sister could continue living with enough money."

The Dark Protector

The Dark Protector

’ I ask him. ‘Do you have any family names that you want to give to our children?’ He asks me instead. ‘Not really. That’s not how elves work. Why? Is that how it is with dragons? Do you have a family name to pass down?’ I ask. ‘Not a family name, per se, but because I am descended from the earth dragons, I would like my children to have names that mean 'earth', or 'of the earth'.’

N.Savage
This is book number 2. It does not disappoint. There is no loss of momentum in this series. The characters continue to grow and evolve. Never a dull chapter. Cooper really did an excellent job setting up the series with places to go and more characters to introduce. Brilliant.

Stronger United Together

Stronger United Together

As we pass the magical creatures, Jess looks at the Salynx in confusion. “A Salynx is a mix between a Sable and a Lynx; sometimes it’s more Lynx than Sable but it’s mostly Sable Lynx.”, I explained to her. Continuing walking until we could see Mr. Sapping; Mr. Sapping is a half-breed, dark elves; this can get mixed up with Svartálfar, which is black elves. Many people are wary of dark elves, but since he’s the only one who sells potions, the town isn’t too wary of him.

The Mafia Kings Want their Woman Back

The Mafia Kings Want their Woman Back

They didn’t even have corresponding blood types. As they grew up, it wasn't hard to see who they were birthed from, with Dante carrying Mikael's green eyes and looking like his copy if not for taking my brown hair color while Ashford has dark hair and gray eyes like Acker with a softer face. There was no way I could give them Acker’s or Mikael’s surnames when they could be a beacon to finding them. Instead, I gave them my father’s surname ‘Duncan’ to ensure they had some ties to their origins. And to their grandfather, who knew if their existence and loved them very much.

“Let’s start throwing out ideas and see what sticks.” “Okay,” Isolde said, leaning forward with interest. “If they’re dragons, maybe something powerful like Pyra and Draven.” “Or if they’re wolves,” Cheyenne added, “something classic and moonlit. Like Lune or Fenric.” Tora covered her face with her hands. “You guys are going to give them identity crises before they’re even born.” Chelsea was already on a roll. “If one’s a boy, I vote we name him Brimstone. Brim for short.”

The Feral Alpha’s Rejected Luna

The Feral Alpha’s Rejected Luna

I protest, trying to make sense of it. “That was part of their ingenuity,” he explains, his voice calm but deliberate. “The Castellanos pack ensured their name wouldn’t distinguish them from anyone else. It wasn’t someone completely ordinary like ‘John’ that you could find any and everywhere, but it’s also ordinary enough to blend in, to never draw special attention. So hearing the name wouldn’t make anyone suspect they were something… special.” I let his words sink in, my thoughts a jumble. It makes sense. An example of a unique surname would be Amadeus. Dominicus is the only living werewolf right now with that name. The Amadeus wolves were the only wolves with that name.

What Nobody Sees

—I asked, noticing he was just staring at me. —Now you understand why they couldn't grow up away from you. —Because you're a total disaster, with a passing interest, who couldn't live without me? —He laughed. —You couldn't have put it better. —This time I shrugged. —Do they have names? —I have two in mind —I gestured for him to continue—. Ragnar for the male... means lethal strength and primitive loyalty. You agree? —Very masculine, though quite fitting for their father's character —he just smiled. —And the other?
