We’ve done that.” Mira exhaled, letting her blade lower. “I don’t know if I’ve ever been this tired… or this relieved.” She allowed herself a small, fleeting smile. “Maybe that’s the point of surviving, huh?” Rowan stepped closer to the group, his calm presence grounding amidst the remnants of chaos. “Survival is never simple,” he said quietly. “But it is necessary. And in surviving, you learn. You grow. You prepare for what comes next.”

I kissed him back softly despite the weakness in my body and when he finally pulled away, I blinked at him slowly. “Are we even allowed to kiss in heaven?” I asked. Aldrich actually smiled at that. “Don't be silly,” he murmured while brushing my hair away from my face. “We're not in heaven.” I stared at him blankly, confused. “What?” “We're alive, Mara.” My breath breath seized. Alive? How could he was standing like nothing had happened at all? “We survived?” I whispered in disbelief. Aldrich nodded slowly. “We did.”

Amelia's POV Ame=Aim Ames=Aims "Did you hear about those poor women?", Katy, my bestfriend, asked. We sat in the library of Linken County Community College. "Yeah. It's horrible", I answered softly, with a shutter. "I didn't think one murder would happen in this tiny little town, let alone three", she cringed. I geniunely tried not to think about it considering that I live alone. I've always lived in Teela, however, my parents died six years ago. I have lived alone ever since. "Ame?", Katy whispered, attempting to draw my attention back to her.

The wind howled, my hair lashed in scattered strands across my face and the chilly draft seeping into my flesh was a reminder of the thin dress I had on. It was nothing suitable for a survival world like this and this fucking feast of respite was a mocking reminder that nothing good ever lasts in a place like this. I clung to the pipe, carefully wrapping myself around it as I slid down with swift ease until my legs buried into the sharp grass. “We made it.” Stella let out a sigh of relief. I stared up at the wrought iron gate looming ahead. “Let's make a run for that.” I pointed towards it and took her palms.

" he questioned. Silence fell over us. As expected, the only way to deal with this was to fight fire with fire. "Are you okay?" the system asked carefully. "Can you check if I'm still intact? Or have I already been reduced to ashes?" I asked in my mind. "The good news is that we're stuck in the middle of a plot point, so we're not dead yet." Then, it added sheepishly, "The bad news is that your supposed downfall is coming ahead of schedule, but neither of them has broken things off with you yet. If this continues, we'll be stuck here forever. None of us will be able to return home!"

Whether I had to go for help or wait it out, it'd be safer. I still got in the car with them because I had questions. Last time, after I died, my consciousness just... drifted. I saw Lana show up with the rescue team to collect my body. She looked wrecked—but I heard her whisper to Felix, "Thank God." Right up until I faded out, I never understood why. This time, I would. "Alright, everyone—let's crank it!" Felix shouted, and harsh DJ music exploded through the car. Vincent and Donelia got excited instantly.

Sadly, they both passed away last year. Marley insisted on taking care of her sister, even though she was only seventeen.”

I hated that he was right. Reluctantly, I let him guide me toward a stack of crates further from the worst of the mess. I sat, rain-soaked, vest heavy, gun cooling in my hand. Malrik followed. “You did well,” he said. “That’s what you call this?” I nodded toward the bodies, the blood, the mark. “I call it survival,” he said. “And a message.” “Whose?” “Ours,” he answered.
