They have to look for food in order to accumulate enough strength to fight against them.

This country is the safest place of all since they only have a small rate of zombies here. So, dad decided to bring every survivor here, and make Alice Springs Airport our quarters since this place too, don't have a lot of damage since every zombie were out there, on the streets. The explosions wreaked havoc in every city in the whole world. Buildings collapsed, streets were messed with debris, and cars, footbridges, bridges, and public facilities collapsed as well, everything is a mess.

My voice was soft, yet each word pierced the heart, "Hans, do you know that you pushed me into a horde of zombies in my past life?" His pupils contracted sharply, as if he had seen a ghost. "W... What are you saying?" I did not answer but only nodded to the skipper. The speedboat's engine roared, accelerating away. Behind me came Winnie's piercing scream, followed by Hans's desperate curses. "Clarissa! I'll haunt you even in death!" I did not turn back. The sea breeze brushed my cheek, carrying away the last tear. My new life was about to begin. Back in the safe zone, everyone was enveloped in a deathly silence of despair upon hearing that the final vaccine was gone.

We are heading to that fortress that offers hope. I’m not holding out hope, not at all. I’m not even sure what the hell I’m surviving for at this point.

The cards were useless now. I walked back into my bedroom. Sat on the edge of the bed. I needed to plan. I had thirty days. I needed to buy -perishable food, water purification tablets, medical supplies and a lot of fuel. I needed a place to hide. My current apartment was on the third floor, which was good for avoiding the initial panic on the streets but the doors were just cheap wood. A strong zombie or a desperate human could kick it down in seconds. "LUS " I called out into the room. "You mentioned a reward. Dimensional Storage. How does that work?"
