The girl on the bed scoffed. “She just returned from hers.” Aria tipped her head towards the girl folded under the bed. “She’s Eve.” “I didn’t mean it that way.” I offered quietly. “I know, everyone thinks the same until it’s the only means to keep your head. She looked around and cautiously protected Jasper while she hid a sharp wood in her hand. “What do you guys want to do now? Who asked you to do this?” Summer took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down. “Time’s up. Time to continue.” That man smiled and asked his subordinate to break Jasper’s arms. “Just try and touch him.” Summer frowned and looked at that man. “What?” Are you trying to protect him?” That man smiled coldly. “I’m guessing that you don’t want me to die.” Summer looked at that man warily and put the sharp wood on the artery of her neck. “If the artery here is pierced through, I’ll die.”

The more Summer thought about it, the more her chest hurt with rage. She wanted to kill Stella. But she could not do a thing. Mrs. Mendes said, “Right now, stop blaming other people.
