“We might as well tell her because she’s not leaving here alive anyway.” My heart stopped. Fear hit me so hard it felt physical.. This was it, we were no more pretending. If I wanted even the smallest chance to survive, I needed information. I needed them talking. I needed to understand what the hell was happening. I straightened slightly despite the pain, forcing strength into my voice. “Fine,” I said. Their eyes snapped back to me. “I heard you,” I continued, my chest rising and falling unevenly. “I heard everything.” I swallowed hard.

To survive in this wasteland, I couldn't just stop being a burden; I had to learn how to defend myself. As long as I stop clinging to Hudson, he will probably feel a massive wave of relief, I told myself. I didn't complain about the heat once all day. During our lunch break, I even volunteered to take the wheel, though Hudson shot the idea down immediately. By evening, we set up camp at an abandoned motel. I hopped out to help Jax carry the supply crates, keeping my head down and pretending I couldn't feel Hudson's intense gaze burning into me as he leaned against the truck door.

Holding my phone, I looked over at the living room, where Bella was picking up her birthday crown, only to set it back down. He continued, "Go ahead and help Bella cut the cake first. Don't keep the other kids waiting." After a brief pause, he added, "She can always celebrate her birthday next year, but it'll be much harder to fix Daryl's trauma if he's scared. Bella has always been sensible, so help me explain to her." Bella ran over and looked up at me. "Was that Daddy?" I turned off the screen. "It was just a spam call." The smile on her face slowly stiffened. "Is he still coming home?"

“Did you know that Jasper was hurt? His injuries are so severe that he might die.” “Impossible! Jaz... Jaz… won’t die!” “Shh!” Julia gestured to Naomi not to make a sound. “Samson seems to be leaving with the doctor. He must be going to get you some medicine. Listen to me. Leave now.” Julia peeked through the curtain and saw Samson leave. Now that Summer lost her memories again, she could sneak out now. “Thank you!” Summer jumped out of bed in a panic and ran out barefoot. It was as if she did not want to stay for even another moment.

The heartbroken Shawn tried to stop them, but they beat him bloody as well. Frustration took over him as he looked at me. "Are you happy now? You threw her under the bus! Now, apologize!" I sniggered, took my phone out, and played a video. It was a conversation between Queenie and Shawn. I was planning to have this team building at Saialand. However, they switched it to an outdoor survival program, all because Queenie wanted to have some fun. And their wonderful plan landed us on this abandoned island. Now that the truth was out, the mob didn't hold back. They rained their fists again and again into the wretched duo.

The third of July bonfire has been a tradition since childhood. Summer glanced up from the wicker chair she was curled in, looking past me instead of at me. The mention of Jenny's name should have pulled some reaction from her, but no. Nothing. Summer liked Jenny, always had. Well, maybe more like tolerated her. Jenny was a local woman I hooked up with once a year while we were on vacation. Nothing serious, friendly even. Of course, I didn't plan on sleeping with her this trip, not after everything with Summer, but Jenny had hung around our circle since we were teens and to leave her out felt unnecessary.

Which meant there were indeed two men and one woman, while Franky also had a broken leg… With that said, that meant the three burned victims were… Summer disallowed herself from thinking further and turned her head to look at Simon. She saw how terrifyingly gloomy his face looked, and he exuded a murderous intent. “Simon, we were ambushed, and I think Gerald sent those men. I almost lost my life too,” said Summer. Simon did not respond to her, and the dead silence was stifling. It made one feel nothing but panic. After a short while, he looked at the forensic specialist and asked, “Where’s the body?”

Robin said, motioning to the men behind him. "Yes!" "Come back! You're lying! Summer's dead! She has to be!" Janice immediately tried to lunge at Robin, but she was pinned to the ground by Robin's men. Robin didn't even bother to look back. Only Janice's hysterical screams could be heard. She had thrown everything away, even gambled with her life just to drag Summer down with her. How could Summer be alive? Summer had frostbite on her hands and feet. She remained unconscious for about three or four hours before she slowly woke up.

Lottie says into my ear as I quickly hug her. I rush over to Summer. Placing my hands directly on her chest. “Summer, Summer, can you hear me?” She can’t speak, but nods once. Eden is holding onto her mom’s hand. “Come on, mom, you can survive this. You have survived worse than this.” I can feel the energy exchange taking place between us both. I give Summer everything bit of energy I would have given my mom. “He will not claim another victim today.” I told Deana.

3 MONTHS LATER THIRD POV It had been three months since what happened at Baikal lake. Stella and Isa had finished their training hence being officially the members of this gang . Athena was still yet to wake up. Her friends had been visiting her each passing day and narrated about what was she was missing. They really missed their friend. On tge other hand ,Ice had been restless...his only way of letting the stress out was working or brutal killing his victims . He never left his office unless it was time for a missions. In those 3 months he had never went to see Athena
