His Choice Wasn't Me
Spider shouted.
Gunfire erupted.
The first bullets slammed into the rear of Sarah’s car, metal screaming under the impact. Sarah screamed, ducking instinctively as Scorpion swerved, gripping the wheel with brutal force.
“Stay down!” Scorpion barked.
Spider didn’t hesitate. He rolled down the window just enough, bracing himself as the pursuing SUV closed in. Muzzle flashes lit up the night like brief bursts of lightning.
Spider aimed, his breath controlled despite the chaos.
Bang.
One of the attackers jerked violently, his head snapping back as the bullet found its mark. His body slumped, lifeless, collapsing inside the pursuing vehicle.
