My lips trembled; even the palm holding the knife was sweaty. The situation I didn't expect the most was when Sweet fell from the tree lightning fast and hit a snake several times bigger than it. I stood up like a fool; I didn't think Sweet would be so brave; even more, I didn't think it could attack the snake and then return to the old place without being hurt.

When Gel put her glass down, "He is so yummy!” “I know right? He looked really different!” Alice muttered excitedly. Gel sighed dreamily, “If I knew that Chrissy's ex would look like that, I would have made him my man and would never break up with him!” Silence fell over them when she said that. With wide eyes, Alice made a sound of frustration. "Chrissy is dead!" she said. "I know. She is so dead!” Gel agreed. (End of flashback)

In my palm, they found a small piece of a candy wrapper soaked in blood. On the back of the wrapper, a few crooked words had been scratched out in blood. I had carved them with my fingernail, bit by bit. The officer held up the evidence bag and read the words aloud for everyone to hear. "Mom, I wish you had never had me." The moment those words came out, the air seemed to freeze. Mom looked like someone had ripped out her spine. Her eyes rolled back, and she fainted completely. Liam stared at my body covered by the white sheet. He clawed at the floor like a madman, making horrible scraping sounds.

Sam winks at me. There’s nothing flirtatious in his mannerisms towards me, just an open kindness. I know I should reject the sweet. Better safe than sorry. But at this point, I would gladly accept poison. “Thanks.” I take the sweet from him. He blinks. “I was sure you would hesitate at least. You know, candies from strangers.” I laugh lightly, unwrapping the sticky candy, “After the kind of days I’ve been having, I wish somebody would knock me off.”

I highly doubt that. As soon as we reached the penthouse I saw mom standing in the living room. She walked towards me and hugged me tightly. “How are you my sweet little girl” Suzie came in too and heard mom. “Yeah, your sweet little girl got herself pregnant with a mafia’s child” she was always annoyed when mom called me her sweet little girl. “Don’t talk nonsense, Suzie. She’s your sister; not to mention twin.” Mom scolded her and we all entered the living room. Mom made me sit on the couch and went into the kitchen. She made tea for us all and we had our loveliest family get-together of all time.

Sweet said cut Blood cut him off before rush up stairs. "T-thank you." Blood said that Sweet stunned a little. Bitter smirked as he watch Blood run up stairs, he looked at his twin brother Sweet who looked shock. "That!" Sweet said and pointed at Blood and looked t Bitter. "Did he just thank me for saving that motherf*cker? Ha! for so many years that we've been friends---he is making me feel that I want to kill him, damn it. To all the thing I did, this is one time he thank me ha." Sweet said as he stood up mumbling this things as he walks away shaking his head.

He smiled and looked at me through the rear view mirror. “Anything for you doll.” I smiled and looked back at Rena. She reached out to give me a high five. “Do you think you’ll be able to convince Gabe and Byron to eat sweets?” Kane and Cally laughed. “If you can do that doll, I’ll buy you sweets everyday.” I looked at Kane, once again reminded of how little I knew of my mates. “You enjoy sweets then? They do not?” He scoffed. “Apparently sweets are bad for you, I have an incurable sweet tooth. I’m your guy for random cravings. Instead of making you feel bad, I’ll indulge too!” Cravings, I wonder how bad they would get if already I was craving food.

“You stood up for both of us, took on a dangerous, brutal MC… you’re a true, good friend, Liam, and I’ll owe you until the day that I die. Thank you, so much. Just – thank you.” Spider swallowed hard. “You mean the world to me, Mirrie. I’d do it all again, and I’d take on a dozen MC’s if it meant keeping you safe.” She grasped his hands in her own, and they stood for a few seconds, just looking at each other. “Urgh,” Mac said, breaking the silence. “Now I’m drowning in the mush.” “We need a sugar overload,” Spider proclaimed. “Brownies are the answer!” “Brownies are always the answer,” Mirrie agreed. “Let’s go eat ourselves into the next-up size of clothing, OK?”
