Skipping the Childhood Sweetheart Rivalry
Bella was so excited that her hands were trembling. At last, she could be openly with the man she loved.
Before her fingers could touch the wedding gown, Apollo gently pushed her aside. Surprise flashed across his face. "Bella, you've always been a sister to me. How could we ever become mates?"
She stared at him in disbelief. "I'm your childhood sweetheart, Apollo, not your actual sister. We're so close. Why can't we be mates?"
Apollo held the wedding gown tightly, his expression lost and shaken. "I'm sorry, Bella. I didn't know you felt this way. The one person I love has always been Nora. I only ever saw you as my sister."
