I grabbed a vial containing a potion to alter one’s face and downed it. “Do it now, J.” Jeremiah’s gaze went blank, and for a split second he froze, before finally turning and preparing Alea to swap bodies with me. Alea’s eyes shone. Jeremiah took my hand and Alea’s hand, bringing them together and holding them tight. Magically, right before my eyes, Alea was already in her own body, kneeling near me—who, of course, had already shifted into Lex’s body—bound by silver chains, lying helplessly.

My body twisted painfully and my mouth opened and with no control I started to chant the words that were in my head. The words slipped off my tongue with such ease it was almost as if the language I was speaking was my mother tongue. Another scream forced its way out of my mouth, yet I continued to chant against the pain. I looked down at my body and I could see that there was what I looked like a black rope that was tied around my body, from my shoulders all the way down to the soles of my feet. The suppression spell. I could see the physical being of the spell. It wasn’t a rope, it was more like a cloud of black that tightened around my body. The more I chanted the tighter the rope got.

“I think so.” “Well, do it, and return to your body before someone finds it vulnerable.” She kissed me and then was gone. I shivered at the thought of that soul entering my body, but I couldn’t focus on that right now. I got closer to Amara and thought of the spell I needed to stop the cleaving. I thought of my wolves and the power sucking them dry and I felt my power swell. I would not allow this to go on any longer. “Alta nim for cle de nagh.” I repeated the counterspell for the cleaving as I moved closer. I watched the stone around her neck flicker as I tried to break the hex.

Theodora stood in front of me while Saruman turned Connor the other way, putting his back against mine while he stood in front of him. “We are going to chant the spell and you will feel as if your wolves are being ripped off you. They will come out of your bodies and linger over your heads, but they won’t go any farther. That is until the magic finds its way in,” Saruman explained as the witches started chanting in a language I didn’t know. Halfway through it, Connor and I felt pain in our bodies. Our screams could be heard from apart, and our wolves left our bodies as they had said.

I pulled her body into my arms and started muttering some spells. I groaned as the spells slowly affected my body. It felt like I was being drained.

Anyone could tell by looking into his eyes that he was expecting the worst answer. “Isn’t that obvious?” She threw something toward the dead body, “His body,” And something looking like a blue polygon hit Miers's body, bounced off of it, glowed, then out of the blue, grew big, and engulfed all of him in a jello-like cold material. We all were stunned at the action. “Don’t try to stop us,” The male spoke, “He belongs to us by contract.” With a light smile on his face, he shook his head, “If you try to take him, the magic will hurt you.”

This isn’t the right time for these lustful emotions. Since I can talk in my hybrid form, I ask her in an agitated voice, “Can you put a protection spell around the house? Someone is using magic to attack you.” The wind beneath her becomes a bit calmer as she narrows her gaze at me. I watch her as she glides gently back to her feet. I think she believes that I am not a threat; although, I wonder what she thinks of me. In my hybrid form, I resemble the outcome of a polar bear mixed with a wolf, as if the two had a baby…just bigger. Much bigger.

He then recited the incantation in a very loud voice, chanting Anna's name over and over. "No!" exclaimed June's body suddenly. Alarick knew it was Anna trying not to get out of June's body. "Get out!" she cried again. This time the cry was much weaker and sounded tired, it had to be June. War also occurs in June's body. The two women pushed each other, but the spell's bonds had transferred to Anna's body. In the void of June's soul slowly trying to enter and regain control of her body. However, Anna tried to prevent it. With all his might he grabbed June. If he had to go out, he wanted to come out with June with him.
