" She requested and I did just as I was told. She requested the maid to bring some cotton wool dipped in antiseptic and she cleansed an area on my arm in a circular motion. "I know you're afraid, dear. Just take a deep breath and we'll get this over with." I obeyed, and after a moment I felt the coolness of an alcohol swab and then the prick of the needle. When she finished drawing my blood she wiped the spot with another alcohol swab and stuck a bright pink band aid on it. She then handed me a tissue and patted my shoulder. "Take a moment to compose yourself, and then you're free to go. Remember, it'll be a few days before we have the results." I nodded, drawing in a trembling breath.

I asked and she nodded standing up. " Follow me, and if it's really urgent we'll have the results out in a couple of hours ". I nodded and stood up to follow her with a silent prayer that it wouldn't be pregnancy. I winced in pain as a little portion of my blood was being drawn from my arm. It wasn't too painful but still I felt something. After caressing my arm, I was told to take a quick rest since the results would be out in an hour time or less. I slowly took off my shoes and laid on the bed, facing the ceiling.

My arms were trembling and everything in me was praying Cara was okay. Swallowing hard, I sat with my back pressed against the machine and slowly peeked out. I gasped at the sight and a shot was fired. I jerked back, landing on my side to cover. But I was too late as I cried out in pain, holding my bloodied arm. “Thaia!” Michael reached out to me. “I’m fine, I’m fine.” I clenched my jaw in pain. I looked down at my arm, removing my shaking hand to see too much blood gushing out. It was burning in pain and the skin was open, but no bullet was stuck.

“Lost a lot of blood. But you’re stable now. Surgery went fine. Dr. Krasny says you’ll keep the arm, but you’ll need physical therapy.” She said it all so calmly I almost believed her. “Can I see it?” I asked. She hesitated. “Better wait for the doctor.” I nodded, because what else could I do. She fussed with the IV, then adjusted the sling that kept my arm braced against my chest. The pressure changed, and I could feel the pain drifting back to the surface. “Need anything for the pain?” she asked. “No,” I said. “I want to think for a minute.”

“For now, I’ll put a cast on her hand as luckily her ulna have one crack.” “But Mr Knight, you have to come to the hospital more often as I have to monitor her fracture position.” Seb nodded his head and then went with Swara and doctor in the other room. Doctor opened her bandage, and Seb saw that her entire arm swollen, badly. Swara was weeping silently while looking towards her forearm. Doctor treated her arm so that her swelling can reduce, after giving medication to her, doctor after 1 hour put a cast on her forearm, and then put an arm sling so she will not move her arm.

The back of two of my fingers went to her nostrils, and I sighed in relief when her breath fanned them. My eyes fell on the scab on her arm, and I checked it out. I saw that the face of the injury had opened up, and she was bleeding from there. Also, the other arm was now very swollen than when I first saw it. I sighed as I realized that she had probably fainted because she had lost blood. I didn't know how much though, seeing as I already got stained from those rogue wolves that I killed.
