Across the courtyard under the western awning, Thessaly and I sat cross legged in a circle of chalk and moon sigils, our skirts dark with spilled moonwater and chalk dust.
We pressed shimmering moonstones and silver charms into warm wax seals, charging each trinket with raw lunar magic as we whispered in the Goddess’s ancient tongue.
