Cassian bowed his head, forehead nearly touching mine. “Then do it.” Damien roared from the archway. “No!” Too late. My blood sank through Cassian’s shirt. Into silver light. Into the Heart. Into him. The world turned white. For one endless second, I felt everything. Cassian’s chains. His screams under Black Hollow. His sister’s betrayal. Damien’s blade. The Heart forced into his chest. Twenty-one years of darkness. Twenty-one years of not dying. Twenty-one years of waiting without knowing whether anyone would ever come.

I calmly walked as my other hand grazed the railing for support, my chest out and my head held high whilst still holding Kiah's arm in another hand. Finally the torture ended as we finished the long set of stairs and the guy who was leading us took us to a long corridor. "Why is it boring?" Kiah asked looking at the bare walls which looked lifeless and the pale white made no effort to bring life in them. I don't understand why there were no paintings. I always thought rich people loved paintings as their indoor decors. "Maybe it's because they don't have a magic princess." I replied. "Why a magic one?" she asked looking up at me, her little pretty face scrunched up in dissatisfaction.

I gulped down hard as my heart thudded in my ribs, but I wasn't going to let him see I was scared. The first man sobbed uncontrollably, falling to his knees. “Please, sir! I have a wife! She's pregnant with our first child! Don't do this!” His smirk vanished, replaced by cold disregard. “You should've thought about that before you stole from me.” Stole from you? I knew he wasn't doing this because they raped the girl. Fucking pervert. His finger hovered over the buttons before he pressed one. I froze as the man's body convulsed violently as the electric current surged through him. His screams echoed through the hall until his lifeless collapse with a sickening thud.

The scar on my arm, once angry red, now shimmered faintly, a silvery mark of triumph. "You did it, Liv," Ronan whispered, his voice thick with emotion, holding me close. "You purified it." I looked up at the Heartstone. It was magnificent, its light now a swirling vortex of all elemental colors, pure and vibrant, pulsating with benevolent power. The corrupted black veins were gone, disintegrated into dust. The air around it felt cleansed, pure, no longer heavy with malevolence. The tragic fate of the frozen wolves was a stark reminder of the cost, their dust a silent testament to the evil we had just struck a blow against.

You name it," "Let me give you a brief definition of who you are; the most dangerous human, an animal in human skin," she paused, her gaze locked on Phoebe's shocked face. It's been amazing putting out my story to you guys. The Frozen Heart is one of my earliest works. I started it back in 2018 and just going back to the story reminded me how far I have come as a writer. This book nowhere close to perfect. I know many of you would think it's a waste of time while many of you loved it. Nevertheless, I enjoyed sharing the story of Sofia and Liam with you guys. I hope you enjoyed my story. my childhood playmate is someone I can recognize while the Sachiko I met this past few days is hard to understand who she is.
