There’s a brisk chill in the air as winter is drawing to a close, me and twelve other young women and men sit around the training area looking at all the fighting equipment there was an array of training mats, boxing gloves and wooden swords of all sizes. At the age of eighteen you were allowed to train to be a pack warrior and today is our first day of training for The Blue moon pack.

Everyone was now standing still all the attention turned to the reinforcements that had finally arrived. Four yellow school busses made their way towards the clearing, by what could be seen through the windows each one was fully loaded. Elaina had managed to make her way to the front of the now gathered crowd just as the busses came to a stop. Taking a deep breath she watched as their doors began sliding open and the Eastern Warriors began making their exit. Having never seen the Eastern warriors for herself Elaina had to admit that she was impressed. All the men were huge, well built killing machines, while even the women were muscular and looked like they could hold their own.

Jade blurted out before she could stop herself. Jin seemed surprised for a moment, but then, burst out in laughter. He winked at Jade and whispered, “Old enough.” Embarrassed, Jade tried to find something to distract herself. And to avoid looking at Jin. “What do you think?” Jin said, breaking the silence. Finally getting over her shame, Jade cleared her throat and tried to look serious. “How?” “There is a legend around here… About the four Holy Beasts responsible for protecting the four kingdoms—”

“West Fang and Starfire packs.” I smiled at that. “Seems you see some reasoning?” he asked. The audacity of this man! West Fang was a pack that were filled with warriors, and they made the best weapons. Starfire, on the other hand, is a mine pack. The resources gotten from there are used to boost our wealth. “Isn’t that exploitation, Hansel?” I asked. “Add some respect to my name,” he said with gritted teeth. “It isn’t. This is a fair trade.”

Theo was just still a child who was worried about his parents while pretending he was strong.
