Novel & Cerita Tea Novel

I had gotten the hint on day one. When she said the word, I flipped the test, scanned the questions and smiled. It was in the bag. I wasn’t the least bit concerned I was going to do poorly. I knew the material. Hell, it wasn’t like I had much else to do but study and research. I had bought a ton of books from A****n and spent my evenings sipping wine and reading about the naughty misadventures of the gods that captivated Leila’s attention. I took my time, carefully reading each question and providing what I hoped were thoughtful answers. Once I was confident it was a perfect score, I collected my things and made my way to her desk. I placed it on the desk, waiting for her to look up at me.

And a small wooden box containing tea from the mountains of Japan, harvested only once a year. "The tea is medicinal," Nate explained. "It helps with recovery after childbirth. At least, that's what the woman who sold it to me claimed." "Thank you," I said quietly. Nate finally sat down on the edge of the bed. "Mia, I—" "You don't have to say it," I interrupted gently. "I do," he insisted. "What happened... what I planned to do when I first came to New York..."

"Since when, exactly?" "I don't sleep well somewhere new." I reached for the tea and drank it anyway, though the smell alone nearly finished me. Neve leaned in, elbows on the table. "My cousin got like that once. Tired all the time, couldn't stand the smell of tea, snapped at everyone for nothing." She smiled like she was telling a joke. "Turned out she was—" "Careful with that bowl," Thea cut in, light as anything. "It's hot."

The house exuded an unmistakable feminine touch. Jaylene's expression darkened, but when Keegan turned to ask if she preferred tea or coffee, she adopted a gentle, harmless demeanor. "Tea would be perfect." Keegan invited her to take a seat and called for Maria to prepare tea. Jaylene spoke softly, "Keegan, I heard from Stella that you brew Dragon Well tea better than anyone else. Is there a special technique?" Stella paused, certain she had never mentioned that to Jaylene. Was Jaylene testing Keegan to see if he had regained his memory? She worried Keegan might accidentally reveal something.

Luca explained. "Really? But why is he happy troubling me?" Tina asked without knowing when the question came out of her mouth, and when she looked up at Luca, his facial expression explained that he was already interested in the conversation. "Can you explain better, Tina?" Luca asked. "Okay, this morning I prepared hot black tea without sugar as instructed by Mr. Aaron, and I took the tea to Mr. Gavriel, but when he tasted it, he poured the hot tea on me, saying that I put sugar in it when I did not do that, so I had to prepare another one," Tina explained while demonstrating with her hands.

Although they were twins, Renee felt like she was staring at some stranger's eyes. "Not to your liking?" He remained silent. "Oh, I forgot, you are allergic to peaches." She finished her cup and switched it with his. Because she did not want to waste the delicious liquid. She truly loved the tea. It was a personal blend which was created by a tea master from London for her. One thing only few knew about Renee was she had a tea addiction. The woman could drink up to six to seven cups a day without thinking twice about it. Among those, her favorite was peach tea.

*** Kael never walked into her room uninvited. He knocked once the first morning, waited for her to tell him to go away, and, when she didn’t, opened the door slowly, letting her see his hand on the frame before the rest of him appeared. He didn’t come with demands. He came with tea. “You hate the first cup of anything after reset,” he said, setting the mug on the shelf. “Coffee’s too much. Tea first.” She stared at it. He shrugged. “I knew a woman who reacted that way,” he said. “She’d chew my head off for bringing coffee too early. Tea made it into ‘slightly annoying’ instead of ‘murderously offensive'.’”

They wouldn't. Kael didn’t even glance at me, holding Camile’s gaze intently. “It’s the truth, Camile,” he continued. “The tea is made with nightbloom root and widow’s thorn.” Camille's face went pale, her gaze dropping to the spilled tea on the floor, the dark stain spreading like an accusation. I watched the wheels turn in her head, saw the confusion shift to something sharper. There is no way she knew what those herbs were, right?

“…Then what’s your favorite flavor?” “I always preferred peach.” …To think that he didn’t even know this after being around her for so long… After clenching his fists, he sighed before saying, “…From now on, only get things that you like. That aside, wait for me as I go get some peach ice-cream.” The truth was, Neal had only started liking green tea because the first drink that she had gotten for him was exactly that… To think that he had assumed that she liked it instead this entire time…

The palace exits were blocked while an investigation was being carried out within the premises. "Your highness, this tea was sent to you by the Alpha's consort. It's lavender tea, good for pregnant women." The maiden explained. "Really? Tell her I really appreciate her kind gesture." Thea took one of the Thea bags and poured out the contents. She took her equipment and made a test on the tea. Surprisingly it wasn't poisoned. Thea was good with poisons to an extent. She had learnt from the local scientist at the silverclaw pack while she was growing. She knew perfectly how to detect poison from things.
