Team Fortress 2 Meet The Engineer Novels & Stories

She said, so I lowered my head. The same thing happened when Meggay and Savannah saw me. They talked about the new Engineers who transferred here, but I didn't join their conversation. Our professor arrived and taught us a few things about school. Since it's still the beginning of the school year, that's how it was. The bell rang, so we all left together. "The engineers are here!" I heard Savannah yell, so I focused on the four guys wearing casual clothes. But my eyes were fixed on one guy I recognized! Did he say 'see you later' for a reason?! He approached me, so I backed away a bit.

The deep, guttural thrum of heavy diesel engines vibrated straight up through the frozen mud of the trench floor. I flattened myself against the slick granite bluff, my hand pressed firm against the cold grip of my sidearm. LUS burned bright and hot behind my eyes, filtering out the swirling mountain mist to render a clear, wire-frame schematic of the approaching iron. [HOSTILE FORCE IDENTIFIED: VANGUARD NINE MAIN COLUMN.] [LEAD ASSET: T-62 RETROFIT LIGHT TANK.]

The engineer struggled to swallow around it, as he forced himself to look up. It was a guard. An older man with lean, lanky limbs that concealed the real strength of his muscles. The engineer had never seen him before. "Could you confirm your identification, sir?" the guard asked, the camera in the helmet scanning the engineer's face. The guard would know everything about him, but the engineer would know almost nothing about the guard. His hands were shaking. "Gryaz E-009," the engineer replied staring into the black void of the helmet visor. There was nothing there, not even a reflection of the grey hall, just the abyss.

"The 'Biological Invasion' protocol is active. The boy is the carrier. You didn't just escape the story; you brought the 'Heresy' into the human genome." The Engineer tapped a button on his tablet. The rooftop door burst open, and a squad of men in tactical gear stormed out—not with silver-glass weapons, but with modern rifles and "Capture Nets" made of gold-filament wire. "The audience wants to see what happens when the 'Alpha' meets a SWAT team," the Engineer whispered.

"You need to get down to the engineering bay right now! The retrofits... the mechs... you won't believe it." Ten minutes later, dressed in a fresh, dark tactical uniform, Sebastian strode onto the massive engineering deck with Harper by his side. The cavernous bay was blindingly bright. Jack, Kael, and Elias were standing on the observation gantry, staring down at the floor in absolute awe. The three Vanguard mechs had been completely transformed.

They have a week-long taping in Laguna City starting today. 'I miss you too. I have a meeting soon. I'll call you later. I love you, baby.' I packed up my stuff and went to the meeting room on the seventh floor. I saw a slim girl in a yellow dress walking out from the meeting room. "Sir! Hi! I'm Irina." She offered her hand. "Hi. Is the room okay?" I asked and shook her hand. "Yes, Sir. Engineer Tomas and his team promised to be here in ten minutes." She answered and opened the door again.

I'm tapping my fingers on the table to calm myself and called My secretary. "Yes, Miss" Lena instantly went near to me. I let out a heavy sigh before I let go of my stares at the engineers in front of me. Trying hard to beat me down. "Find the contact of the head engineer from TGC and ask her to join here the meeting" I stopped and glanced at the engineers that currently looking at the floor. Lena followed what did I say and I wait for how many minutes before the door opens. I didn't look at it because I bet it's the head engineer, I remain to tap my fingers on the table because I almost lost my patience waiting.

This makes him laugh. “You and I both, honey. But I had to memorize all this shit when my team pitched it to the client. Don’t get me started with those meetings with the Engineering boys, they were hellish.” “Engineering - you mean, Tommy’s guys?” He gave me a judgmental look upon the guy’s name and I backpedaled. “I mean, I just remembered he said he was the head,” I explained unnecessarily, digging myself into a deeper hole. “Suuure. Anyway, the nerdy guys are cool, they just go on and on about math and science. But the macho guys? They can be real pricks. Granted, I walked in there with my yellow heels on. But still..” He drifted off.

This was a reaction that had nothing to do with the sovereign memory and everything to do with being human in a space that did not care if she lived or died. "Hold the line " the engineer ahead of her called out. His name was Miller, a man from the southern mining sectors whose face was stained with grease. He did not carry a rifle. He carried an iron crowbar and a heavy safety lamp that burned with a dull flame. "The floor is buckling near the timber supports. Look where you put your weight Elara. If you drop that surveyor's tool, General Cole is not sending a rescue party to fish it out of the sump."

"I can feel it. The air... it’s wrong." "She is not being hurt; she is being Measured," the Engineer countered. "We are currently passing her frequency through a series of salt-baths to determine her maximum resonant output. But the girl is unstable. She seeks a 'Target.' She seeks the baseline she grew up with. She seeks you."
