Tears Burning My Skin Novels & Stories

Her chest rises and fell before her eyes slowly closes. I suddenly feel like my fingers are burning and my head felt like it was breaking in half. I scream in pain as my tears blur my vision before I felt a burning sensation inside my eyeballs. My tears continue to fall when I look down I saw a small pool of water underneath my feet as clear as the blue skies. There I saw my once blue eyes slowly turning yellow before the burning sensation on my finger came back as a tattoo began to encircle it. My energy felt like it was draining before I stumbled down and fell face-first into the small pool of water beneath me.

I whispered, feeling tears fill my eyes again. The tears fell down my cheeks, burning the red spots on my skin. I wanted to scratch and claw at them but I knew Barlion doesn't need to see that now. I welcomed the pain as I scooted closer to Barlion and raised my hands to his shoulders. I pulled his in and he rested his head on my left shoulder before he gently wrapped his arms away my waist. I wrapped my arms around his shoulder even though my skin was stretching at each movement, causing the spits to burn.

Falling to my knees, I held my wrist as I watched with tears as it consumed my hand. The liquid ruby melted into my skin. It brought even more excruciating pain as I watched it seep under my skin and light up beneath. Traveling up my arms, it flowed through my veins. As it made its way through my veins, it hurt more and more as it spread across my chest. Gasping, I curled up with my head almost touching the grass. My fingers dug into my skin as I tried to claw at the burning liquid in my chest.

More Tears descended and seared me. Light began gathering in front of my chest, forming a brilliant orb that grew larger with each Tear absorbed. The illumination was so intense that the watching crowd had to shield their eyes. Then the real pain began. My entire body convulsed. Every nerve felt like it was being rewired, every muscle fiber torn apart and rebuilt. I doubled over, sweat pouring from my forehead despite the cool night air. My fingers shook violently as I struggled to maintain my kneeling position. Breathing became nearly impossible. My breast rose and fell rapidly as I fought for air through the overwhelming sensations. My skin felt like it was being scorched from the inside o

He smiled showing a full set of his teeth. “Why?” My voice breaks, the hurt coming to the surface as tears cloud my tear duct threatening to spill. “Stop crying when you hurt, I hurt too.” His fingers caged the tear from my tear lid. “I hurt without you and hurt more when you tear up. Don’t cry because I’ll burn this world into ashes, a sullen mud of pitiable debris if one more tear slid down these pretty blue eyes of yours.”

My hair clings to my face like icicles. I would scream. But I have no voice. My throat is desiccated; my vocal cords feel seared. I only gape at the nothing like a fish cast onto shore. And I cry. I don’t know when the tears began, but they’re already there. They run down my face, bite into burned wounds, sear my skin. Even the tears hurt. My heart… My heart is breaking. Not only from the pain. From the image still flickering behind my eyes like a botched, rewound memory.

It fell from my face, landing directly on Rye's clawed hand where it gripped my throat. Rye screamed, jerking away from me like I'd burned him. He stumbled backward, clutching his hand as smoke rose from where my tear had touched his skin. Air rushed into my lungs. I gasped, choking, my body convulsing as oxygen flooded back. My vision cleared slowly, the black spots receding. I pushed myself up on trembling arms, still coughing, still struggling to breathe properly. Across from me, Rye stared at his hand in shock and pain. The skin where my tear had landed was blackened, blistered, smoking.

Kimberly P. O. V The cut on my right cheek was burning a little at first but it started to burn a lot. I bent down and screamed while covering the wound. I felt like my whole face was burning. "Ahhh hh hh hhh".The pain was undeniable. My eyes screwed shut. The pain was too much. It was as if my skin could peel like molten lava burning hot. I was not looking where I was going. One of the shattered pieces of glass stuck my feet through my shoe. The glass penetrated through my skin which caused me to scream. Years ran down from the side of my eyes.

He likes my ‬pain after all. "Oh, that hurts, huh?!" He mocks in rage. He lifts my sleeve as far up as it would go, ripping it. He takes the cigarette out of his mouth and lands on my arm. Instant pain shoots through my skin. I hold back a scream of agony. Tears fall. I can't control them. The burning smell of flesh fills my nose, causing me to feel sick. He takes the cigarette off and looks at my tearful face. His eyes remain unsympathetic.

A human, at least. I wring my palms, they felt sandy. I opened my palms, looking into them. They were covered in ash. My arms. My fucking body. “Oh no.” I tried rubbing it off, scrubbing them off with the back of my wrist. It was as though they were glued to my skin. I'm scrubbing them off more. More. I want to rip the top of my skin off. Tears welled from deep inside and coursed down my cheeks. Hot tears.
