My ears roared. I picked up. “Who the fuck is this?” A long silence stretched out, heavy and deliberate. Then— “I see you haven’t changed, Grimani.” That voice. Low. Gravelly. Familiar in a way that hit me like a serrated blade to the chest. Memories crashed in, blood, screams, my mother’s wide, lifeless eyes, my baby sister’s tiny, broken body. My vision blurred, rage and grief tangling into something sharp and dangerous.

Hearing his last words, my blood automatically boiled. "Your enemies again?! Lorcan, i'm tired of getting in between the rivalries going on in your world! Please, just make it stop!" I hit his chest, he quickly grabbed my hand. I let my tears fall. "Yeah, i know. I will, baby. Trust me. I'm so close to the main man who's been raining on my parade." His voice changed from a soft tone to a treacherous one. I think my tears went back to my eye sockets when i saw how his facial expression darkened. It became a murderous perfect creation anyone wouldn't want to see.

I could feel the heat creeping up my cheeks, betraying the steady composure I was fighting to keep. A low, satisfied chuckle escaped him, the sound curling through the air between us. “Well,” he murmured, his voice as smooth as silk, “back then, I used to think, ‘This girl is so damn annoying, but at least she’s hardworking.’” His fingers pressed into my waist, the pressure firm, sending a hot shiver down my spine. “Now? Now you’re more than just my archenemy—you’re the woman who stole millions from me. No one’s ever dared make a fool of me, Isabella. You can understand, can’t you, where my… anger lies?”

Let’s just talk.” He gave a sad look. “There’s nothing to talk about.” Closing my eyes, I fumbled with my hands. “But…we could make this…better.” His jaw twitched. “No.” My chest tightened . The tears fell again, fast and hot . I raised a hand to wipe them, but let them fall . “Please.” My voice broke. “Don’t do this. Can’t I just see you and try to talk to you? Why make me an enemy? You act like you don’t know me.”

“He probably wants another round. I could go over and punch him.” “Or he’s obsessed, with his hatred ” Oliver said, smirking. “You sure he’s not planning evil?” Austin rolled his eyes. “Can we talk about something else?” Meanwhile, at the other end of the hall, Brian’s own friends were watching. Matteo sat opposite them while James sat beside Brian. James leaned in. “Well well two enemies working together” Brian snickered “You are one to talk, weren’t you paired with Benjamin?” James laughed “Come on buddy, I am not enemies with Austin’s friends”

Darcio roared, charging even faster than before, sinking his teeth into Dearon's side— My mouth opened in a silent scream. A single tear slid down my cheek. Dearon rolled to the side, letting Darcio's teeth rip his flesh. A thick stream of Dearon's blood stained the ground, but he leaped back to his feet, a powerful growl tearing through his throat.
