Thea was stunned, “Isn't this car amazing?" The assistant looked at her with a dumbfounded expression and said, "This is the least technologically advanced thing in the young master's basement." The huge creature suddenly trembled.

I watched in a horrifying slow-motion as the creature surged towards me, its fetid breath washing over me. Just as its jaws were about to clamp down on me, a blinding flash of light filled the cavern. An energy blast erupted from the tunnel behind the creature, slamming into its back and sending it flying across the cavern. It landed with a bone-jarring thud, its red eyes flickering in confusion. I looked back to see Alexander standing in the tunnel entrance, a strange device strapped to his arm, its barrel glowing faintly. The futuristic weapon from the abandoned facility. "Where did you get that?" I gasped, a flicker of hope rekindled.

The large car pushed the person back a short distance, and he gently placed it on the ground. “Huh?” Steven stopped and stared at this strange person. The stranger wore a black sweater with a hood and black jean trousers. He looked around and slowly stepped back as a crowd started to form. He turned in Steven’s direction, and their eyes met. They stared at each other for a moment—the stranger’s eyes had dark circles; it looked like he hadn’t slept in days, and his hands trembled. His heart beat faster the longer he stared at Steven, and when he couldn’t take it anymore, he quickly turned away and ran off as fast as he could.

Images appeared around them. Wars. Burning villages. Werewolves fighting humans. Families running. The council taking control. Generation after generation. Luna saw everything. The hatred. The fear.
