I ask while waiting for my eyes to adjust to the dim lighting around me. Before Chance gets the chance to explain, a large tentacle erupts from the middle of the pool, followed by two others. My eyes widen as the tentacles are followed by a large octopus-like head and a black hole surrounded by dozens upon dozens of sharp teeth. I no longer needed Chance to answer my question. Bruno was a kraken, and these pyschos expected me to fight it.

In some cases, she just scanned the spines, when visible. After another hour or so, Caitlin, her back killing her, on her hands and knees, reached the far wall. At the very bottom of one of the tallest stacks, she yanked out one particularly large and heavy book—and as she did, the entire stack came crashing down around her; she quickly covered her head as the mountain collapsed, and got out of the way just before being completely crushed. The books finally settled in a huge cloud of dust, and she looked up, dazed and confused. She felt like she wanted to cry.

The light stopped at Ward 119, and he heard the cry of a newborn baby. Suddenly, words appeared on the door, and he understood that a part of the prophecy had been fulfilled. He entered the room and saw the new parents gazing lovingly at their baby girl. They were startled when they saw the seer approach their child, but he placed a bracelet on her and declared her a supernova. "But the supernova died a thousand years ago!" the father exclaimed. "Yes, but your child is different," the seer explained. "There were other supernovas, but they all died. The title has not been given until now. Your baby is the next supernova, and a prophecy is attached to her. Only the gods can protect her."

People scream and scurry away in fear, they are right to fear me, I am too angry to show mercy right now. I remember reading a book when I was a girl, all about dragon lore and the special things they could do, so I lift my right paw and bite into my finger/toe to draw blood, then lower it to Drake. I let a few drops fall onto his chest and then one into his mouth, before sealing my wound and returning my attention to those around us. These tiny things are all my enemies they all are trying to take Drake away from me! “RAARR!! Grrrrr!!”

BOOOOOMMMMM… Long Chen was actually able to withstand the attacks from those three furious beasts. He kicked the black shark into the air with his foot, and the blue whale was struck by Long Chen, sending it crashing hard into the sea. Long Chen grabbed the Kraken’s tentacles and spun it vigorously through the air, rendering the Kraken unable to fight back. Then, with a powerful slam, Long Chen hurled the Kraken toward the blue whale that had just emerged from the sea.

While the clouds continue to cry, I turn away and continue down to the small lake. When I make it to the lake, the rain has finally slowed to stop, leaving the earth coated in a sheet of fresh water. Looking up at the sky, I try to see if I can spot Soren and Ellie. But the only dragon I see is Soren. His large emerald, green body swoops down, blasting out a gust of wind that sends my hair flying around. Having been only the second dragon I've had yet to lay eyes on I can't help but admire him. His body is long and sleek, sitting a few feet shorter than Ellie in dragon form. He has muscle but isn't as heavy built as Ellie, showing that his form is better for speed rather than brute strength.

"Don't let it touch you! It eats armor!" "It's not acid," Jinx muttered. "It's oil." Ren paused, looking at the black sludge hitting their deck. It was iridescent. It didn't sizzle like acid. It smelled—even through the simulation—like crude, unrefined oil. "So? It's a monster. It spits sludge." "And the Kraken's weak point," Jinx continued, analyzing the boss while dodging a massive tentacle strike. "Look at the head. It's not an eye. It's a 'Thermal Vent'. The strategy guide says we have to overload it."

I heard screams and shuffling of feet the whole time before it was gone. The man with the yellow cat eyes appeared beside me. "Why are you all surprised about that one?" He asked in a serious tone. "Earth dwellers have written stories about it. The Kraken. It used to swim on the ocean surface before they hunted it down and forced it to live here. Just like us." "I thought the Kraken was a giant octopus?" I said. "No one lived to tell the tale from the ones who saw the actual body. I guess they just assumed that it is a giant octopus."

Stephanie cooed at Jeremiah and her only responds was Jeremiah wrapping his arms around her and fixing his nose in between her neck and shoulder “Ehh…just a small joke Jer and you’re all ruffled up…” I teased causing the rest of the boys to burst into fits of laughter “Fuck off y’all” Jeremiah grumbled from his spot in Stephanie’s neck “Okay okay enough. Tell me more” James pressed on “Oh… oh then I saw Alpha Chaos and Beta Kiara’s wolf… damn talk about scary. And before you ask, we are not supposed to talk about their wolves” Stephanie replied “Beta Kiara? You’ve got to be shitting me” I cussed out

It’s plain, with no writing, and thin maybe only twenty pages. “That is everything I have on Grimalkins, if there is any other information out there on what you are then I don’t know about it.” He shifts forward in his seat, elbows resting on his knees, “Tell me Crimson, what do you know about yourself? I will try to fill in the gaps as much as I can. And hopefully, that book will help you understand what you are.”
