I tried not to look desperate or grab Raphael’s shirt and tell him to just give me the goddamn footage, because that was what I had in mind if this persisted. “So, Sal,” Raphael said, shifting in his seat like he was finally getting down to something real. “Do you guys still have that snake crawling around your estate?” He was stalling. I could hear it in his voice. I forced a laugh, leaned back in my chair, and shook my head. “Yeah. It scared the hell out of Miguel the other day.
