The room had a vibrant, creative energy to it, unlike the others…It’s full of energy, art, and a touch of glamour. Finally, they reached Ian’s room. It was the most youthful of the four…filled with football memorabilia and casual, comfortable furniture. The bed was simple but spacious, and the walls were adorned with posters of his favorite teams and athletes. I would never move out either if my parents had money,” He pauses, “Or were still alive.”

It looked like a thirteen year old girl's birthday party rather than a seventeen year old's welcome home party. Did I forget to mention that Allie was still strangely obsessed with pink rooms? Well, if one had taken a look at the condition of my living room then, none would forget that little detail for their lifetime. It honestly looked like a unicorn puked in pink all over the place. Even Eva's room wasn't this pink.

Theo replied as he blinked, bringing himself back to reality "What's up?" I wandered over to the tall fridge in the corner of Theo's room. It wasn't a study in the traditional sense, his room was more like a guys hangout area. There was a desk in the centre, but no books or literature displayed. A large TV with a sofa and games system filled one corner, a retro arcade game and a giant fridge, which always seemed to be full of beer, filled another. Theo's room was my favourite place to come in the house, aside from my personal space of course. Each brother had their own space, somewhere to go when we needed solitude.

Carissa's POV I didn’t go to sleep fast that night. After Mom went inside and told me to come, I stayed in my old room, looking at the moving dark shapes on the roof, moving softly from the drapes pushed by the wind. The soft smell of mothballs and old timber from the worn closet took me back to my tricky teen years. It felt odd to be in this room—not as a young graduate full of hopes but as a lady who had fallen, got hurt, and was now trying to rise again with wounds that hadn’t fully healed.
