The city buzzed around Aria like static, but inside her, everything was silent. Frozen. She stood on the sidewalk outside the restaurant, the message still glowing on her phone: “He’s lying again. Ask him about Geneva.” Geneva. The name meant nothing to her—but something about it sent a jolt down her spine. Like a door creaking open to a hallway she didn’t know existed. She turned as Sebastian stepped out behind her. “Aria—” “Don’t,” she said sharply, raising a hand.

He, however, just shrugs his shoulders like skipping school isn't a big deal. "Like I said, I needed to speak with you." He says. A pause. "About what?" I ask, as if I don't know what this exactly might be about. "About....yesterday." Bingo! I sigh "I'm really sorry you had to see that I-I don't even know what happened but I promise you it won't happen again."

She was glancing around and making it obvious it was her first time here. "I heard you tell the girls something," I said. She looked at me like I was speaking a language she did not understand. "Naomi..." That seemed to jog her memory. "Yes. Naomi is back in Arnold city." Hearing her say it again seems to be the confirmation I needed. I had hoped I was hearing things. Maybe, I wanted to see her so bad that I was conjuring her name in my head. But, having this lady say it again confirmed that I was not hallucinating.

I sighed and closed my eyes to calm myself down a little. “She doesn’t need the past. She needs peace and a joyful life.” He spoke again, but in a bit calmer voice. I slowly opened my eyes. “I said it to her too,” I replied calmly. He raised his brows questioningly. “I told her not to try remembering things that she forgot. If they are meant to come back, they will. If not, we can create new ones at any time.” I added it with the same calmness. He was surprised but chuckled softly while jerking his head slightly.
