Frore opened her mouth to say something again, when she looked down and watched people screaming and running to save their lives. Someone pushed Frore and she fell down on the ground. Hissing, she turned around and watched a Grey Dragon passing over her, before a Golden Dragon appeared from behind it. Frore's eyes opened in horror and terror when that Golden Dragon opened his mouth wide to blow fire. In a spur of the moment, everything was burning and the scream remained struck in Frore's throat.

The battered wings lay broken and still. Caelia gasped, half-relieved and half-terrified, until a low, rumbling growl shook the air. Before her loomed an obsidian-scaled dragon, its massive form exuding power, each muscle rippling beneath dark, gleaming scales. The dragon’s head swung down to her, its fiery golden eye inches away as warm breath poured over her, rustling her thin clothing. Her heart hammered as she struggled to keep from fainting, the world spinning as her body gave out.
