On campus, Emily was surrounded by several girls. Each of them slapped Emily's face and insulted her with dirty words. Emily wanted to stand up and fight back, but her arm was stomped heavily on the ground by one of them. There were many people around who walked indifferently, as if they were no longer shocked by this scene. The second girl kicked Emily's face, "Omega is the lowest level of trash, you should have died long ago..." Suddenly their phones rang, and one of them exclaimed, "The four Alphas are having a party! They actually came back home!..." They all picked up their phones to read the text messages, "I received an invitation to the party..." "I received it too!"... They kicked Emily a few more times and cursed a few times before leaving, leaving Emily alone. Emily got up from the ground tremblingly. She picked up her phone a few meters away. Emily found that there were more than a dozen missed calls from Luna. She suddenly panicked and called back nervously. Luna's voice pierced her eardrums, "Where did you die? Morgan loves you. He only pursued Jasmine because of your condition. You have a coagulation disorder and need transfusions of Rh-negative blood whenever you get hurt." I stagger back when I hear that, dropping my phone to the ground. So, Morgan's sudden passion is laced with poison. He only pretends to love me just so he can turn me into Evelyn's walking blood bank! Everyone goes to so much trouble to hide the truth from me just so Evelyn doesn't need to suffer from her condition! Rain mixes with my tears as they slide down my face. I stare at my phone on the pavement as bitterness floods me. A thought forms—I want to leave them forever. I want to disappear so they'll never find me again.

Meanwhile, Damon Mickelson, the son of Klaus Mickelson, Alpha of the Greyhound pack, refused to attend the meeting. He stated the availability of some unresolved conflict with the Crimson eye pack as his reason. But his parents and the elders reminded him of the importance of attending the meeting. They made him understand that he needed to attend the meeting because it was a duty that he owed the pack as the future Alpha. Tessa Randolph, the second daughter of John Randolph, tried to convince her father to allow the meeting to be hosted by another pack. She wanted to stay back and allow her elder brother to attend the meeting in her place, but her reasons were all worthless to the ears of her father.
