I hugged my knees tighter to my chest as the thunder rocked the sky, causing me to flinch in my place. It was hard to control how I felt. The lightning brightened my dark room, sending fear down my bones. A sob escaped my mouth as my whole body shook in pure fright. I didn’t know that I was that scared of storms. I wasn’t just scared. I was petrified. My heart was about to stop at any given second. It was my first time to experience a storm like that since I woke up and found myself in Silver Moon Pack.

I tried to convince myself but I was too scared to. I pick up my phone and dial Jace's number. "Jace, I'm scared." That was the first thing I said to him once he picked up the phone. "What, Tessa, is that you?" He sounded sleepy. "Jace please, I'm scared. I had a nightmare. There were dark rooms and I saw dad, he said he was taken. I began to fall and… and…" I starmmed. "Tessa, calm down. It's just a dream." He replied, still feeling sleepy.

Fear gripped me, sending a shiver down my spine. "Penelope?" I whispered softly, the name barely audible amidst the eerie silence that enveloped us. Oh fuck! This was going bad. “What's going on, tell me?" I instantly felt scared like I've never felt before. Shit! I shouldn't have tried to offer my help in the first place. What was I to do? “I—- I saw it. A strange light ball… I… I felt…”

Of all the scary ways to die, this one in particular terrified me. “Mia! Hold on, we are coming for you,” a familiar voice screamed from behind me, I turned and my eyes widened with shock, “Can’t be!”

I knew whatever was going to happen was going to be awful, but I couldn't bring myself to scream because I was simply too scared. Too scared.

He stated. "Yes, I don't. But that doesn't mean I want you to stay behind." I declare, before closing my eyes to force my statement out. "What's it, Scarlett?" Orlan question, because he noticed that I'm holding in some unsaid words. I forced my eyes open and then tears started falling from my eyes. I have never behaved weak in front of others, but in Orlan, cause I just break down easily. "I'm scared!" I mumble while biting my lower lip. "I'm scared that other supernatural creatures would come and invade the mansion. Besides wolves, witches, and Vampires have all done their worst, but I haven't seen elves, dragons, zombies....."
