That Summer Dessen Novel Novels & Stories

Arya We only have a week left of being at the cabin before we need to go back to our real lives. My book is nearly done! Which is amazing! It usually takes me longer to write, but I think this one was easier because of the experiences I’ve had this summer.

Summer’s POV The morning sunlight poured through the curtains, warm and golden, the kind of light that should’ve promised peace. But inside the De Rossi estate, peace was an illusion. The guards had doubled their posts overnight. Every window was locked, every shadow seemed to move. And yet, somehow, the silence was still louder than fear itself. It had been hours since the letter, the photograph, the message, and I still couldn’t get the image out of my head. “I didn’t die, Summer. You just didn’t finish the job.”

Summer moved her ankles and realized that Jasper had unchained her. Summer got off the bed anxiously, trying to find Jasper. He seemed to have gone out. A house without Jasper seemed even emptier. It was still snowing outside. The first snowfall in Sea City this year seemed to be heavier than previous years. Everything was snowy white outside the window. “Casper, this is Summer. I am in Jasper’s mansion. Come and pick me up.” She used the landline to call Casper. She anxiously wanted to find Benjamin.

Okay so in the story I haven’t mentioned how the main characters look. So here are their physical descriptions just to give you a heads up. :) Summer: 17 years old. Dark brown short hair, She wears glasses (not always, only when she plays video games or uses the computer) Pale skin. Average height. Brown eyes. She isn’t overweight nor shes thin.. she somewhere in the middle. you know curvy. :p tomboy. Ginger: 17 years old. Orange-Ginger long hair, she is fair, thin. She also has glasses. blue eyes. She's like the cute nerd.

I’d rather die than live without her. I shifted and went for a run. A run would take the load off my shoulders, and I didn’t have the courage to have the conversation with Summer. She would kick my ass but I wouldn’t change my mind. I ended up spending hours out there. I smelt a foreign scent and spent more time tracking it. Ultimately, my efforts to locate the foreign scent were fruitless. I decided to return to the cabin when the afternoon sun hung heavy on my head. I found Summer sitting on the porch with her head in her hands and her elbows on her thighs. She wore a short blue dress, and her soft wavy hair blew in the wind. I felt like dick. I left her alone all day.

I shrug my shoulder. "I need a new sneakers. I'm gonna go to Champs to buy one. Are you coming?" "I need to go to the bookstore. The new volume of Daredevil came out last day." I finished reading Theo's last comic 'Double Trouble' and now I need something new to distract myself. "Then lets go there together after buying my sneakers," he says. So, after finishing breakfast, we both go to Champs to buy Adrien new Sneakers. It's a task choosing shoes for him.
