He murmured, his brows knitting together in concern. I quickly shook my head, not wanting him to dig too deep. “His Majesty and I had a heated argument at the office today and…” I paused, swallowing the memory. “I cursed him.” Royce pulled back slightly, stunned. He looked me over with disbelief. “The Alpha King is blessed by the Moon Goddess. No curse can touch him unless it’s one tied to his destiny from birth. Why would you curse His Majesty? What were you two even arguing about?” I sighed and looked away.

My normal breathing came back. I looked up by the door and balled my fists. "I won't be suffering for long with this, Selene. I won't let you take away my life so easily. If you still feel like punishing me for all the wars I started, then go ahead and kill me in one blow. But since you gave me this curse, I will play by the rule.
