I am glad Hailey is tryna find her mother. This story was me as a teenager. growing up in a broken home with very poor parentally upbringing, No proper guidance whatsoever can really destroy someone. Hope it never goes bad for her.

Pathological dependence

Pathological dependence

“Really calm.” Paul smiled, a genuine, pleased smile that made Leonard’s heart do a funny little flip. “Excellent. This is a tool you can use anywhere. When you feel the anxiety rising, just take a moment, focus on your breath.” Paul moved back to his chair, the professional distance restored. But the ghost of his touch remained on Leonard’s wrist, a brand of warmth.

The She Wolf's Heart

The She Wolf's Heart

“As if you need a soothsayer to foretell that to you. Anya beat Maya to a response. She stood up and stretched to drop a book on a shelf close by and sat back on her seat. Relaxed, her gaze landed on the human that warms her heart. “Hey, beautiful.” “Hi, baby.” Maya stretched a hand out on the table and Anya took it into hers. I gazed at them, their smiling faces radiating with happiness. A contagious one. For the second time today, a genuine smile broke out on my face. At that moment, my moodiness was gone, but not the unease. I felt that unease again. What is it that is about to happen that my guts won’t let me be? Two of the people I care about most are here and happy. ”Earth to Caleb,”

Fake dating the captain

Fake dating the captain

That I wake up some mornings and my first thought isn’t I’m going to be a father but How did I get here? I hate myself for that. Joyce says shame thrives in silence. So I keep talking. I text her when I shouldn’t. Not flirty. Not explicit. Just… checking in. Rough day. Can’t breathe. She’s watching me again. Joyce responds professionally, but warm. Grounding techniques. Reassurances. Sometimes a joke. Sometimes just, I hear you. That’s enough. Too much maybe. Ava almost caught me once. Walked into the room when my phone lit up, Joyce’s name right there on the screen. I flipped it face-down so fast I nearly dropped it.

ALPHA CLAWS

ALPHA CLAWS

But everything was quiet, and the feeling of being watched slowly faded away. She shook her head, chiding herself for being paranoid. It was probably just her nerves getting the best of her. But the unease lingered, and she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. She turned on lights and cuddled her blanket and slept off. Joyce had always been a hard-working and ambitious person. She had graduated at the top of her class in accounting management and was determined to pursue her career in the business world. She had a small but tight-knit group of friends, three, who had been with her since college, and she cherished their support and encouragement.

Sinful Vows: The Mafia's Unholy Union

Sinful Vows: The Mafia's Unholy Union

“You won’t regret speaking with me, Ms Rossi. Before I dive right into the reason for this meeting, I want to know how you’ve been fairing,” I stilled as the question broke every hedge I’d used as protection these past few days. “Not good,” She nodded slowly in understanding. “Care to expantiate?” “Sometimes I’m happy but other times my life seems like a jigsaw puzzle that can’t be set straight or figured out. I get triggered by the most mundane things and trust me when I say anxiety has become my new best friend,” I explained that with a light chuckle. “I find myself becoming too dependent on the people around me and I don’t like it. I reunited with the father of my son and he’s been nothin

Obesessed Lycan

Obesessed Lycan

Her breasts were hypersensitive to the movement within the cups of her bra and she needed to change her panties for drier ones. “Damn,” she muttered and closed her eyes. That had to be the strangest session she’d ever had. She leaned over to grab her cell phone out of her top desk drawer, scrolled through the numbers, and pressed the one she wanted. “Dr. Megan Green,” a cheerful voice answered. “Hi, Meg, it’s Joy.” “What’s wrong?” Concern instantly filled the woman’s voice. “Do you have time for a phone session?” “Always. Hang on and let me close the bedroom door. I’m at home and so is one of my roommates. What’s wrong?”

she added, tilting her head. I opened my mouth to respond but quickly closed it, unsure of what to say. Normally, Joyce was my go-to for venting about life’s misfortunes. She had a knack for listening without judgment and offering just the right mix of sympathy and tough love. But this… this felt too big. Too raw. “It’s nothing,” I muttered, shaking my head. “You sure?” Joyce pressed, setting the coffee pot on a nearby table and planting her free hand on her hip. “Forgive me for saying so, but you look like you’re about to have a full-on meltdown. Is it that manager of yours again?”

An Unwanted Fate

An Unwanted Fate

I yelled out for her again as a sense of dread spread over me. Where was she? Even when we were fighting, I could always feel her somewhere in the back of my mind. Now, it was like she disappeared altogether. As my anxiety increased, I felt myself hyperventilating. It reminded me of the attacks I would have in the early days after Jesse left me. I would start to think about how alone I felt, desolate and empty. Panic would set in and my breathing would become erratic. My best friend Sarah taught me some meditation exercises she learned from her yoga instructor. They really helped me control the anxiety when it hit. Maybe that would work for me now. It couldn’t hurt to try.

love the fact the author helps the readers feel all those emotions we feel in relationships from the happiest to the most self loathing, but gives you that hope that of course love will conquer, even when we don't feel we deserve it!
crazyshar238
the story is so human. focusing on emotions. the people are highly emotional beings especially Kat and Reegan and so they make so many mistakes that seems idiotic. though the dealing with emotions could be better. This story is captivating and steamy and I just couldn't put it down
