A massive stone table sat in the middle, covered in floating glyphs and thin layers of light that rearranged themselves as we approached. Lysara stopped and turned to face us. “You shouldn’t exist,” she said calmly. Winter choked. “Wow. Straight to the point.” She ignored him and looked directly at me. “Or rather—your presence here should not be possible.” I swallowed. “I get that a lot.” Fenrir frowned. “Lysara.” “I’m not accusing her,” she said. “I’m stating a fact. These archives react only to specific bloodlines. Ancient ones. Even I cannot activate some of these records.”

I grabbed my coffee and went to stand beside her to see what she was referring to. “It is more of a who. Asry is the Nokaura King. Why do you ask?”

I extended my hands and Melsine handed him over, breathing a sigh of relief. "Not sure what got into him today," his round face was red and his tiny fists were balled up as he shrieked at the top of his lungs. I tried to comfort him by pressing him closer to me and rubbing his back. I could sense some discomfort surrounding him. There was this uneasiness as if remnants of some spell. Arasia has been teaching me how to figure out if there were remnants of magic around a person, place or object. How to see different auras and figure out who belonged to which species.

Rosa asked gently, her thumb rubbing back and forth in a soothing manner. Aurora tired to speak but her tongue suddenly felt too heavy to lift so she settled for shaking her head. Rosa's dark eyes clouded with worry and her features crumpled, before she could expect it the older woman wrapped her bulky arms around Aurora, surrounding her with a comforting scent.

He opened the pouch, revealing a small silver amulet shaped like a crescent moon. "Wear it. It will help stabilize your wolf. The stone is calling to you, Solana. It's trying to reconnect with its bloodline through you." Tessa stepped forward, her hand out. "Let me see that." Ambrose handed it over without protest. She examined it closely, her fingers tracing the runes. "This is old and powerful. But—" Pain spiked in my skull. I gasped, doubling over as Astraea roared to life inside me. My vision went red, then black at the edges. Claws erupted from my fingers.

His expression had become more serious after the symbol of the Order of Ash was discovered near the territory. Dravenna slowly sat back inside the silver cage. “Malvora would never wait now that the prophecy has fully activated.” Damon crossed his arms. “You keep saying fully activated.” “Because it has,” Dravenna replied calmly. “Aria awakened first. Then Lucien returned. Those were the two conditions tied to the prophecy.” Mira nodded slowly. “And now the final stage begins.” Before anyone could continue speaking, the silver markings on my hands suddenly appeared again.

With that statement, Aries hisses his agreement. Images begin to project on the wall behind her as she continues to speak. Which is weird considering she hasn't moved an inch. "Ironclad dragons. Phoenixes. Leviathans. Direwolves. Storm Gryphons. Moon Serpents. Flame Hounds. Cerberus'. Unicorns. Frost Lynxes. Kitsune. Ash Ravens. Nemean Lions." She says with confidence as the images change behind her head still without any movement. "And of course the many extinct or the now unwilling bonds that you will learn more about in your history classes." she says as the images flick again and my breath stalls.
