We were already here. The lower arena, nestled beneath Ravenwood's east grounds, was exactly as the books described: a wide, stone-floored rectangle, high walls, two gates opposite each other. Open to the pale morning sky, a swath of light fell across the center, the stones still slick with the night's chill. The stands above were packed.

I knew I had to be cautious and alert at all times. We stepped out of the carriage and walked towards the entrance of the arena. As we walked, I gazed around in awe at the technological marvel that surrounded me. The arena was unlike anything I had ever seen before, with gleaming metal walls that towered above us, and a sophisticated security system that hummed and beeped in the background. The arena itself was circular in shape, with four distinct sections - one for each division of the clan. Each section was separated by a translucent barrier that shimmered with an otherworldly energy, and within each section, the clan members were busy preparing for the upcoming competition.
