Novel & Cerita The Auction Dramione Audiobook

My breath caught again, that familiar sense of awe creeping over me. I felt Mr. Price lean closer, his voice low and unsettling. “Why don’t you place a bid, kayla? Show the room what you’re capable of.” the stench of alcohol from his breath engulfing me like a plague. My hand trembled slightly, but I raised it, my heart pounding as the auctioneer acknowledged my bid. The moment felt surreal, the dizziness from the champagne mixing with the thrill of the auction. I was sitting too close to Mr. Price, too aware of Tristan’s eyes on me, and too caught up in the madness of it all to care.

she uttered plainly. “What about when you made me deliver drugs? I hadn’t cheated on your son then, had I?! You traffic drugs and humans too?! That’s the most—” She didn’t even look at me — just waved for them to gag me. “ She keeps spewing nonsense.Humans sell better when they’re quiet. Pity the baby’s gone — double profits wasted.” she said, turning to leave the hospital room. --- It was finally the day of the auction. “And now, we are presented with a human who looks a little unkempt right now, but with a little care from her owner, she would be as good as new,” the host’s voice rang over the speakers in what seemed like a dungeon used for illegal gambling.

Tonight, they came to hunt. On the stage were a line of objects, big to small statues. A sword said to have belonged to a king. Diamonds so large they looked unreal, each of them waiting for its turn under the hammer with the words, ”Going…gone!” The crowd watched as the auctioneer’s voice rang out, fierce and loud, the price climbing with every nod of a head, every lift of a hand. One by one, treasures disappeared into the possession of men who hardly blinked at the numbers. “Lot Thirty-Two,” the auctioneer called, adjusting his cuffs as two assistants carried out a painting draped in red velvet. “A masterpiece from the lost collection of….”

Chapter 46 Nina’s POV The auctioneer’s gavel hovered mid-air. Thirty million going once. My eyes stayed squeezed shut. Stage lights seared through my eyelids like branding irons. The crowd’s roar pressed against my skull, a living thing hungry for blood. I waited for the final strike. For the number that would seal me into someone’s possession. Then a new voice sliced through the noise. Cold. Precise. Familiar. “She will be mine forever. Fifty million dollars.”

I don’t even know how to feel now. I catch Naomi across the hall. She’s standing beside her father, Don Carlo. She sees me and winks. This bitch is everywhere. Dante appears from behind us. “Time to take our seats,” he says. “Auction’s starting.” We head to our table, eyes tracking us, voices dipping into murmurs the second we pass. We really are the hot news here. The auction starts.

Aspen says. "Are you sure?" Draco asks. "Yes, that is her code number," Aspen says. The two keep watching the numbers and the bidders. "No worries, either way, we will get her back to us," Draco says confidently. "How? I mean, what is plan B?" I ask. "Well, this is what I do. If someone asks me to locate their loved one, I watch the auction. Sometimes I bid, and sometimes I wait until someone else gets the prize, then I go in and steal their prize possession," Draco says.

“Let’s go in” *********** Liam could hardly focus on the auction. His fists were clenched tightly to his side as he watched them giggling. What was so funny? Why is she laughing so much with him? She leaned closer to Noah, covering her mouth with her hand, and Noah bent his head toward her Then the auctioneer’s voice boomed, snapping the room back into sharp focus. “Next up, a rare sapphire and diamond choker from the Renaissance collection. Bidding starts at one million dollars.”

This time around, my nanny, who went to chase her off again, returned to me with a tablet. “Sir, she asked me to hand this to you. She said you would forgive her once you watched the video.” I took the tablet from her with some skepticism. There was a live broadcast playing on the screen, and the setup of the scene looked oddly familiar. I soon realized it was the same auction house where I had been brought last time. This time, it was Damien who was tied up and locked in an iron cage. Shortly after that, someone placed a bid and called Damien to the stage. His eyes were wide with horror as he was tied to the frame.

A voice that sounded more superior to the rest mentioned a figure, and the auditorium went into a long murmur. "Ten million dollars." The voice muttered, and the whole attention turned to him. Everyone wanted to see who it was. Well, the emcee didn't waste any time, before declaring the auction, closed. I stared in uncertainty, as I didn't have any idea, about any drama that was even happening at the moment. "Sold to Alpha Roman Moscow!" The emcee mumbled under his breathe, and dashed off the stage with immediate effect like someone who had seen a ghost.

Selene smirked, casting a triumphant, mocking glance in my direction. What a nuisance! “Six hundred thousand.” Someone else called out. “Anyone else?” The auctioneer started negotiating. “Seven hundred thousand!” Damien bid again. “Now, it’s getting interesting!” The auctioneer got excited, and the bid went on. Each time, Damien would surpass the other. It seems like he really wants it for his ‘true love’. “Do you want it?” Abraham's words successfully brought my eyes to him, wide and in a daze. “You don't need to…”
