Chapter 103 AUTHOR’s POV The next morning, Amelia woke up with a start, her senses jolted awake as if by an invisible hand. She lay there, fuzzy-headed, her mind muddled with lingering feelings. The rays of sunlight danced across the room. As she slowly sat up, a strange, tingling sensation emanated through her veins. She felt different, more different from the last time. She sat upright, her eyes surveying the room. She was already feeling so different, the room seemed to have changed a lot. Just like it wasn't the room she entered the night before.

I choked out. “No.” His grip tightened. “It is beginning.” “What is beginning?” His voice was barely a whisper. “The awakening.” My eyes flew open as light exploded through my entire body. And the world vanished.

And that was enough. I opened Chapter Three. Didn’t think too much. Just started. Chapter Three was about stillness. About the moment after the noise fades but before clarity arrives. My character wakes up in an unfamiliar apartment. Nothing bad happened. Nothing good either. Just unfamiliar. She notices the details. The way the light falls through the curtains. The smell of someone else’s detergent. A glass of water left on the counter like it was intentional. She isn’t scared. She’s unsettled. The chapter doesn’t explain why she’s there. It doesn’t give context. It just sits with her thoughts as she moves through the space, feeling slightly displaced from her own life.
