Less Than A Vampire

Less Than A Vampire

I found myself walking towards her. "We can't Carden would kill us. If not him then her flat out rejection of us." We stopped in our tracks. I sat down beside Sarin with a smile starting to read a book that Blair-Boo had been reading, By These Ten Bones, By Clare B. Dunkle. "Would this book be about us or would Vampire Diaries fit better. We are a hybrid after all. A forced into existence, freak of nature."

My Vampire Professor

My Vampire Professor

A cold breeze attacked my flesh causing goosebumps to form on my skin and make me shiver. “A vampire has this spell book?” He asked through his gritted teeth. I shook my head again. “Not anymore. She gave it to me,” I told him. He took a deep breath and nodded; I could feel him calming. “A vampire having possession of this book is never a good thing,” he said, shaking his head. “I’m glad she no longer has it, but I’m worried about how long she’s had it. These books are sacred to our kind, and they hold a lot of information that could prove to be dangerous if the wrong species got their hands on it. And vampires are definitely the wrong species. This book specifically holds a lot of our secre

West Ora Academy: It Starts Here

West Ora Academy: It Starts Here

I winked before running off. I was over this conversation already. It was boring. Liam was too easy to read and too easy to mess with. As much as I would enjoy bugging him all day, I have better things to do. I raced to the vampire den, grabbing a bag of warm elf blood. I drank it like a juice box. Elf’s blood tastes the sweetest, so it’s by far the most popular pick. On days the sun hides behind dark gray clouds, the elves are usually the first to be bitten. “I thought you left.” Casse noticed me first. I hadn’t expected her to still be down here..

I absolutely love every book of Rae Knight's I have read, and this one is no exception. Vivid characters you will fall in love with. One of very few authors that can surprise me with twists and turns. Her universe comes alive, and each book brings you deeper into it. Fantastic book so far!

The Vampire's First Love

The Vampire's First Love

Something she could only imagine existed in books and movies. A pair of red eyes and two long fangs that stuck out of the mouth as though they were always meant to be there. Except there was no blood dripping from his mouth as always described in books. Yet, she was still scared senseless at the sight of a living, vampire right in front of her eyes. He moved closer to her again but this time, she was prepared and understood what he was. She lunged on her feet in fright and prepared to flee. But she had barely moved two steps when that figure appeared in front of her again.

Found (Book #8 in the Vampire Journals)

He could not understand how he could be here. And there, beside him, he saw Rynd, another creature he was sure was gone forever. Caleb could not understand how they could be back in existence. Beside them he recognized vampires from his days in New York, when he was infiltrating the Blacktide coven. Vampires who he knew were gone forever. He could not understand how all of them could be here. And then, suddenly, it hit him. And the realization struck him deeper than any sword. At that moment, he realized that all these creatures had been brought back from the other side. Resurrected. And there was only one weapon in the universe that had the power to do that.

Turned (Book #1 in the Vampire Journals)

Turned (Book #1 in the Vampire Journals)

Was that where they slept? She tried to think back to all the vampire lore she had ever heard. Sleeping in coffins. Awake at night. Superhuman strength and speed. Pain in the sunlight. It all seemed to add up. She herself felt some pain in the sun. But it wasn’t unbearable. And she was impervious to the holy water. What’s more, this place, the Cloisters, was filled with crosses: there were enormous crosses everywhere. Yet it didn’t seem to affect these vampires. In fact, this seemed to be their home. She wanted to ask Caleb about all of this, and more, but didn’t know how to begin. She settled on the last one.

Alpha Maddox's Mortal Temptation

Alpha Maddox's Mortal Temptation

“He’s clearly got you on drugs or something.” “That’s ridiculous. I’m completely sober.” “Are you, Camille? I should give you a test or something.” He checked out the other books. More vampire romance? Where were the werewolves? He saw none. “Wrong,” Dire grumbled. Don’t worry. We’ll get her proper books. Maddox browsed more of the vampire books and realized that they all had the same author. Grace Moon. That was an interesting name.

That Dragon is Mine

That Dragon is Mine

Alarick ran at full speed to give directions to those who brought the vampires as bait. "Follow me!" cried Alarick as he continued to run. It wasn't difficult for the dragons and werewolves to bring in weak vampires who drank the blood of vagrants. The high-class vampires don't live in New York. Most of the powerful vampires retreated to Rome. They like beautiful classic places such as cities in Italy and several other European cities. New York nuisance vampires, like sewer rats. It wasn't easy for other creatures to catch them, but for the werewolves and dragons, especially when they were united, it was easy. At least ten vampires were brought in as bait.

Shattered Vows, Silent Fire

Shattered Vows, Silent Fire

She found the oversized reading chair near the window and curled into it, flipping open the first book. The words leapt off the page. “To drink the blood of a mortal is to tether them. To drink the blood of a wolf is to invite war. Vampires, once gods of the night, now bound to laws born of blood and shadow…” Her heart beat faster. The text described things in such vivid detail—the hierarchy of vampire covens, the venom in their fangs, the way their eyes glowed during feeding, their immortal thirst, and their deadly aversion to sunlight and silver.
