Before they could realize what is happening, almost all of the bikers are dead. Just then, the lights came back on. Now the mansion is snatched away from the bikers who invaded it. "Ey, did you kill that asshole?" one of the bikers yelled from downstairs, unknown of the situation on the top floor. Nero and Reed casually leaned over the railing and gave the biker a sinister smile. "That asshole is our friend. Only we get to kill him. Idiots like you shouldn't even think about hurting him" Nero muttered before shooting that biker mercilessly.

The riders all got off their bikes and the few that wore helmets quickly pulled them off. "Why the fuck are we here? What could any of you possibly want?" Shooter, ever the hothead spat at us as they lined up to face us. I glanced over the men that had come. Uncles and cousins along with my brothers, my father and Margo's father and brother and a few others. Viper seemed to stare at Margo for a moment but then quickly focused on me. Bear did the same thing. Shooter glared at Nat but then followed suit and looked at me. Most of the group ended up staring at me. What was that about? I glanced over at Joker who just shrugged at me and then gestured for me to speak.

Painful screams followed—raw, agonizing cries from the bikers who had been hit. My eyes widened in terror as I twisted my head back and saw some of the bikers already shot, their bodies slumping as their bikes veered violently and disappeared into the forest. Sparks flew, metal crashed, and headlights vanished one after the other. As for Lucien… He was nowhere to be found. I strained my neck back desperately, my heart hammering, but I couldn’t find him anywhere.

Baxter asked curiously. “Whose funeral?” I asked, shocked to the bone marrow. “Didn’t you know he died ten months ago?” Baxter asked. My heart was beating hard. “You mean the same Gerald… the biker. The one who…” I was saying. “There is only one Gerald among us, brother,” Baxter cut in. “He died in a road accident. You know how he was always in a haste when he was on his bike. Yes, he died mainly because he over-sped. He was trying to overtake a van and then it went sideways.”

But make no mistake: you do not mess with me, my brothers, or their old ladies. ​I climbed down from my bike. The house wasn't completely dead, but it was quiet for a Sunday morning. Most of my club brothers were back home with their women, though a few were definitely upstairs in the clubhouse rooms, hooking up with the club girls. Even the guys with old ladies still mess around at the clubhouse sometimes. I guess their women know exactly what they signed up for when they chose the biker life. But me? I could never imagine cheating on Ella. Once we are together, that's it. She's my only one.

Alpha Scott linked quickly. One of the bikers from the gang wiped out on some fresh cut grass the city workers left in the road, and they are going to ask their boss to talk to you about extending their time to fix it. I looked around, waiting for a response and making sure no vehicles were driving our way. We still needed to get rid of all of the blood.

the motorcyclist proposed, his deep and resonant voice calming me. You can trust him, a little voice spoke in my mind. I sighed, nodded, and hoped I hadn't just invited a psychopath to sit in my broken-down car with my three young children. I watched the biker closely as he sat in the passenger seat, removed his helmet, and called the local mechanic. It sounded like they knew each other and had a cordial relationship. According to the handsome man beside me, Jack Turner agreed to be here within the hour and would give me a tow free of charge.

A particular one on his arm caught my attention. It was a dragon spitting fire. "If we don't leave now, his friends would join us here." The Biker dude gestured towards his bike I didn't even notice was parked by my side. "Get on." "Why would I go anywhere with you?" I folded my arm across my chest, suddenly feeling wary of him. 'Who was that gun shooter and why was he aiming at me?' I wondered, having an answer as I stared at this dude in my presence. It was probably because I was with him, he was a Biker and probably a gangster as well.

I was too far gone to listen to anyone that wasn't Hawk fighting for his life underneath my grip. “You're going to kill him!” Someone else yelled, and I fought the urge to tell them that was exactly what I planned to do. If hawk was gone, it would reduce the bikers by one number yes, but it would also save the others from him being an asshole and a fucking degenerate forever. “Zander….,” it was hard to tell if that sound of my name had come from the man in front of me or behind. I was so locked in in my mission to kill the fucking bastard when something heavy struck the back of my head.

"Did you secure the hitmen?" Reed’s dark eyes hardened into pure flint. "The driver died on the scene. But the two bike riders are alive and currently strapped to tables in our holding basement downtown." I wiped a tear from my cheek with my blood soiled hands, looking up at Reed. "Did they... did they tell you who sent them?" Reed hesitated for a second, his jaw clenching tightly as he looked between me and the locked doors of the operating room.
