The True Nature Series

The True Nature Series

My friend's safety was more important at the moment. Knox barked and snapped at the lizards, unperturbed by Isaac's wolf form. We struggled toward Ruthie and Phoebe, making little progress, as there seemed to be an endless number of reptiles joining the fray. Then suddenly, the dark sky above us filled with the screeches of owls as they swooped down to attack Peter's pets. They scurried, quick as lightning toward the cover of bushes and building porches. Hawks, ravens, blue jays, and other birds joined the owls. Everyone paused and watched as the birds poured from the sky like a swarm of bats, scooping up reptiles as if they'd happened upon a delicious smorgas

The Return of Luna

The Return of Luna

Then they put down a small seat next to the carriage, and Qri and Ori helped Emma down. Entering the mansion and passing through the corridor, countless bamboo birdcages hung overhead, containing red-headed cranes, orange-bellied parrots, spoonbills, scale-bellied fishers, as well as Honduran Emerald hummingbirds, New Zealand Night Parrots, Palila Birds, and Christmas Island Birds, with other exotic birds singing harmoniously and delightfully. Emma's eyes glanced over a Hawk perched on a leather glove, revealing a sharp, keen gaze. She calmly shifted her gaze away. Along the way, green-clad maids and blue-clad servants stood silently, bowing respectfully when they saw Emma. The scene seemed

In the Grip of king Roderick

In the Grip of king Roderick

Finches added their high-pitched trills, while blackbirds, with their distinctive calls, added depth and richness to the composition. With each note that filled the air, the birds seemed to dance, their wings fluttering in rhythm as they soared and glided through the sky. Their feathers, a kaleidoscope of colors, created a stunning display against the backdrop of the azure heavens. The iridescent blues of blue jays, the fiery oranges of orioles, and the vibrant yellows of canaries intertwined, forming a living tapestry of vibrant hues.

Little Bird

Little Bird

My saviour. My lifeline. “It’s okay, Little Bird…” His voice finds me through the chaos I find myself lost in. “He won’t hurt you.” But he is… By taking you away from me and putting his hands on me… “Nathanial….” Andrea says his name in a clipped manner. “What is the meaning of this? Take your hands off Birdene this instant.” Spinning us around to face Andrea, a look of helplessness, for me, gleams in her hazel eyes that almost look identical to mine.

The Billionaire Wants Me Badly

The Billionaire Wants Me Badly

I've always loved birds. They remind me of the freedom I never had. I've always wished for the ability to fly away from the misery of my life like those birds. But right now, there's nothing in the world which I hate more than birds. I scramble around the bed to look for pillows. A sigh of relief leaves my mouth as soon as I grab two pillows and put them beside my ears. My head is pounding and the chirping noise of the birds isn't helping one bit.

Lycans of Lunar Isle

Lycans of Lunar Isle

If I had glasses, I would’ve been lifting them up in utter fucking bewilderment. “Are those … demon birds?” At one point the things perched on the branches of several trees could have passed for a murder of crows, but no longer. Their bodies were these warped, partially decomposed things sprouting tufts of ebony feathers. More than one had bits of their skulls showing. Half of them didn’t look like they could even fly, yet they didn’t seem the least bit afraid as they stared us down. At the sound of my voice, they opened their beaks in tandem and screeched. The trees erupted in a flurry of motion as they leapt from their branches and careened toward us in a downward spiral.

I’ve read lots of supernatural books but this one is the best I’ve read! It’s got little bit of everything, it deserves way more recognition than it has gotten. Jane out did herself with these last two new books . Extremely talented writer. Give this book a shot you won’t regret it.

Party Animals

Party Animals

Zoe I hung my head in despair and didn’t bother to acknowledge his comment. Not only did I just lose the people who raised me a few months ago, but I lost the last thing they gave me while they were alive. English was the last family member I knowingly had, and I wasn’t sure how I would make it without him. In a way, English was like an emotional support dog. Any time I was feeling blue he was always right there to cheer me up. English touched my soul in a way that no human ever could.

Hellblades

Hellblades

I coughed, setting the cup aside as Pelin bounced in place, clutching a thick, old book I hadn’t seen before. “Pelin—what—” “Moonbirds!” she practically yelled. “They’re here! In ancient times, there were actual moonbirds!” I stood up so quickly the world tilted. She flipped the book toward me, pointing at the page. “It says they were also called Heaven’s Birds because their eyes were blue and their feathers pure white.” My breath caught painfully in my chest. I grabbed her and hugged her hard, laughing and crying at the same time as she twirled us clumsily across the rug as sunlight poured through the window.

The Ultimate Husband

The Ultimate Husband

In the blink of an eye, a sea of flames burst out around them before licking over in Darryl's direction. The nine golden birds had been launching an absolute massacre outside the palace just now when they had heard the cries of their fellow birds and had rushed over immediately. Despite the fact that the birds were not as intelligent as spirit beasts, they could tell that their companions had been wounded by this man standing before them. Thus, they launched into a crazed mission of vengeance. F*ck! Everyone, including Monna and the ministers, reeled in shock at the sight of the seven birds filling the heavens with their flames.
