Dirty Valentine’s Secret

Dirty Valentine’s Secret

He pressed his signet ring—the one bearing the Hawke crest—into a circular indentation hidden beneath the velvet lip of the ledger stand. There was a mechanical thrum, a sound of heavy brass gears turning after decades of sleep. The top of the pedestal slid back, revealing a second, smaller ledger. It wasn't made of vellum or gold leaf. It was a simple, black leather-bound book, weathered by sweat and oil. "The Black Ledger," Ethan read the spine, his voice barely audible. He opened it to the first page. I looked over his shoulder, and the breath left my body. It wasn't a list of assets or land deeds. It was a list of names. Names of senators, judges, police commissioners—and next to each na

She fumbled it into the lock and twisted. Clack. The tumblers gave way with a heavy, oily thud. Lina lifted the lid. "Well?" Sophia prompted, her voice tight. Lina shone her light inside. No gold. No letters. Just a single, leather-bound ledger, its spine cracked like old bone. "It’s an accounting book," Lina whispered, flipping through pages of dense, handwritten ink. "Logistics, Soph. Dates, weights, coordinates. It’s not just money—it’s the cargo."

The CEO's Dangerous Line

The CEO's Dangerous Line

Far from Vesper City's glittering towers. A metal door slowly opened. A hidden room. A forgotten place. Dust floated through the darkness. A man stepped inside. Without hesitation, he approached an old steel safe. The lock clicked. Then opened. Inside sat a worn black book. Old. Aged. Covered in years of dust. The Black Ledger. The man picked it up carefully. Opened the first page. And smiled. Because one name appeared again. And again. And again. Written throughout countless entries. One name connected everything.

I’ll even help you deal with any of them. “And how would I know you won’t back stab me?” “The same way I know you won’t. It’s not your reputation. Look up Black Dogs. You know of them?” “Order of mercenaries.” “Bingo,” the man said. “Asked them about Vanargand.” “I see.” “You heard of the name?” “It’s another name for Fenrir, monster-wolf of Norse mythology.” “I thought using Fenrir could be copyright infringement, or just piss the guy off.” “That would be unwise.”

BLACK TIGER

BLACK TIGER

Surprisingly, the boss put the fake names instead of the real ones, probably for a matter of extreme privacy. “Found it,” I whisper when I find one under the name of Black Tiger. I take a long breath and open it with shaky hands. Part of me feels bad because I’m not respecting his privacy and another part wants to know everything in order to unravel the mystery. The contents of the file surprise me. William is a smart man indeed. He resumed everything in four simple and short lines, not giving anyone the chance to know about the agent. Black Tiger, March 11th 2014.

Shading Black

"Yes he has, Ibekwe. Be strong and have faith." James shuffled towards the door. "James!" "Yes, Ibekwe." "What will you call your new book?" "I thought of a simple but strong name. I will call it: Shading Black: The trilogy of an African village. The name fits it." "James!" Ibekwe called again. "Yes, Ibekwe." "The name of your book is perfect. Thank you for everything." James kept quiet. He raised his hands and wiped the tears in his eyes. "Goodbye, Ibekwe," he said.

Light & Darkness: Book 2

Light & Darkness: Book 2

So he took advantage of being home on sick leave and spent whole days on his laptop, searching the Internet across the globe for the most reliable sources possible. Maria, after long conversations with her husband and Miguel, let herself be persuaded and promised that she would find some way to contact Nadir, but the search was more difficult than she thought. Firstly, Maria didn't know exactly what to look for, and secondly, where, after all, she didn't know anyone interested in something like black magic and summoning demons. But one night the answer came to her by itself, in a dream in which Maria saw quite clearly the book she was looking for and a spell that would help her contact the c

The room was the full hight of the building filled with dark wood and cream walls and a deep red carpet, with a staircase and balcony’s that ran along each wall, there had to be hundreds of thousands of books, I expected it actually rivalled that of the main library’s. “What are we doing?” I asked my quiet voice carrying in the open room. “We have a different set of records here than Michelle has access to, A lot of this is records kept by past Alphas of Blackrock. I recognise the names of the Alpha sisters. I just have a hunch.” He muttered somewhat answering my question but also seemingly talking to himself s he climbed as set of stairs and scanned the closest shelves for something in part

you know it's really disheartening to purchase the chapters of a book and find it's not finished and has not had an update in months. I believe that as customers, we should be reimbursed if the author is no longer going to update the story and finish it. I am very disappointed.
Amy Glinski
Loving this story! Lots of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. The author did have some issues updating for a month or so, but we all have IRL issues. Glad she is back! Can’t wait to see where she will lead us next!

The Alpha King's Tribrid Mate

The Alpha King's Tribrid Mate

She longed for his presence. Her eyes suddenly fell on that black book she saw the other day. The one about book of shadows, or something like that. She leaned forward and pulled it out of the rest books. The book was heavy and thick, with a thick black leather cover. She tried to open it but it wouldn't budge. "Strange",she whispered. The book wasn't locked or glued together. She could see it through the pages. There was a purple coloured stone at the front cover and she wondered if it was what held the book together.

May I ask dear author how far it is still from the ending? I am just asking because I am waiting for it to be completed first before I start reading this since I am a fast reader and I normally finish this kind of very good stories in 1 seating even I don’t sleep. I am just unlocking it for now

I think one of the best books that I have read and I would like to pitch an idea that I have. It's about a sorceress/vampire hybrid and a lycanthrope/dragon hybrid getting married and their abilities and kids.

Blood and Darkness

Blood and Darkness

The king was focused to Chief Black at once. "We found this in hidden in the belongings of the crown princess, Your Majesty." Chief Black lifted his hand for everyone to see. I gasped and my throat ran dry when I saw what he was holding. It is a black little bottle with black lid. "And we found out that it indeed contains the deadly extract of the poisonous flower Lily of Morte." I felt like my whole world crumbled into ashes. I couldn't move. I couldn't speak. It felt like doom was suddenly in front, standing right before me.
