It possessed a geometry that was too perfect for the rough, organic interior of the hut. It was a Door. The frame shimmered with a faint, violet luminescence, pulsing gently like a slow heartbeat. The center of the door was a swirling vortex of black, but deep within that blackness, Ressi could see faint glimmers, like distant galaxies spinning in a void. It looked deep—impossibly deep. The fire in the hearth seemed to shrink away from it. The temperature in the hut plummeted. Fear, cold and primal, washed over him. He scrambled backward until his back hit the reed door he had been about to open. "Mungu wangu," he whispered.

The doors open. Not with a scream like the cell. Not with resistance. Just a heavy, final shift of iron that echoes deeper than anything else I've heard in five years. Then blinding light. I stop. Something told me I couldn't open the wrong door or I may end up not returning. “What do we do now?” I asked “Try Aragon” she suggested “Aragon” I called again, through the link. “Aella,” he answered. I explained my plight to him, “what do I do now” "I can't say for sure, but your mother won't build a room that would harm her kids, enter whichever feels right” he suggested. I inhaled deeply, deciding to trust my instincts, I walked to the black door, the unease crept down my skin again but beneath it I could feel something calling to me.

"What did she see?" Skye sat back on his heels, dirt covering his hands. In the moonlight, his face looked gaunt, haunted. "An endless fiery flame reaching high into the heavens. She said it looked like a pillar of fire, stretching from earth to sky, burning everything it touched. I knew we were not dead.” She laughed happily, her feet moving in tandem as they approached the eerie-looking crimson red door that stood very oddly in the black void. And when she reached, Lillia walked around it. There was nothing but darkness for miles behind it, almost like a tear in space and time, but in the shape of a door… a crimson red door.

He pauses at the first door and I quickly block it with my body. "Not this one, it's the one further down the hall." I say desperately. No one can go into this one. No one can know. He just shrugs and starts walking to the next door. I give him a head nod indicating that it is the bathroom. He heads in that direction as I turn around and head back to the living room. I hear a gasp and a curse and turn around to see Jared looking at me with tears in his eyes. He looks like he has just seen a ghost. I get ready to ask him what's wrong when he beats me to it.
