Cedric unexpectedly chased after me and helped rebandage the wound on my arm. "Nicole, your eyes are fine, right? Can you stop being so upset now?" he said gently. "As long as your eyes are still okay, it's not a big deal, right? The doctor said it wouldn't have much of an impact. I just can't bear to see you become blind. Could he see from the beginning and was just faking it? What more has he done? Goddess, where can I run to that he won't be able to find me? This is fucking insane. I think of her, of everything she’s endured, everything Selena has stolen from her, and the fire in me burns hotter. The moment I step further into the cave, the darkness swallows me whole. Even though he was blind his other senses were ten times stronger. He also hadn’t been born blind he had lost his sight when he had turned twelve. The process wasn't painful but he remembered training with his father and the world around him had started to turn blurry and then just blackness. Vincent had struggled with depression but his father wouldn't allow him to disappear. His father had just pushed him harder to train and become a good Alpha and he was ruthless in battle and never allowed this obstacle of sight to make him weak. He protected his pack and would make sure he protected his mate as well. Vincent wondered if she would reject him because he would never be able to fully claim

That's probably why she thought it best to talk it out." Alex said and Weaver nodded. "Don't tell the others about the male being blind. It'll provoke some of the others to try and run him off." Alex said and Weaver nodded in understanding. "I'll take a group to start setting up markers upon our new territory." Wever said and Alex nodded wondering how someone who couldn't see had survived this long. He had help from his sister but he didn't seem to rely on her. . . .
