The Book Called The Secret Novels & Stories

It sounded like the sound of pages turning, and it was getting louder. I turned to see what was making the noise, and that's when I saw it. A massive, ancient book was standing on a pedestal, its pages turning rapidly as if blown by an invisible wind. Arachne's eyes seemed to gleam with excitement. "The Book of Secrets," she said. "It holds the knowledge of the ages. And it's been waiting for you, Lila." I felt a surge of wonder and awe. The Book of Secrets? What secrets did it hold? And why was it waiting for me?

It was one of the oldest houses in the pack. Our pack was also one of the oldest ones in the United States, we were in the great state of Alabama. Rolling hills of green trees and mostly poverty. We were hidden away deep in the forests that hid us from the world outside. We liked it like that. College for us was in Tennessee. Right outside of Chattanooga. I could not wait to go. I went inside and threw my backpack down and took off my shoes. My parents wouldn't be home till late and I needed to study. Which of course didn't happen. She leaned closer to him again and breathed in his ear, “It is called The Secrets of a Happy Bedroom.” Daniel almost choked on his soup, which made Magnolia’s smile even wider. “I take it you have heard of it, then,” she said. “Heard of it?” Daniel said after recovering. “Every self-respecting man has that book hidden in their closet,” he added with a smile. His words made Magnolia giggle, which drew a few heads. “This is the norm, ladies and gentleman,” Richard started, motioning to them. “It is my friend’s mission to make us, bachelors, jealous.” Magnolia blushed.

I said. "Well we are the only Library in the world with books older than time itself, I can help you find it." She said. "It's called the book of secrets, apparently Da Vinci wrote it." I said. I had to lie. I couldn't exactly tell her what I was really looking for. "Ah the book with the alleged secrets about the fountain of youth? Well you are not the first one to look for that book. I will look in the archives if it's there and I'll give you a call." She said with a smile.

His voice sounds smug. I frown at him. I don't understand. I want to know the secret. "That one," he says. He brings me close to the bookshelf and nods at it. He doesn't look at me. "The red one. With the silver title." My hand shakes a little when I reach out. I touch the book he said. I pull it toward me. The book tilts but it doesn't slide off the shelf. It turns forward and clicks. I gasp when the whole bookshelf spins away. Behind it is a tunnel. A secret tunnel.

I had to make him my closet friend ,even though I know that the difference between us both was so much. Even when I tested him with some hard and difficult secrets years back ,he proved to me that my secrets we're safe with him and I could tell him anything I wanted. My phone rang that morning , as I was in the bathroom running some water through my skull which was burning from the severe headache I had all through the night, trying to run some business with my laptop which concerned the palace. This call must be important ,I said to my self. James was the only one who knew where I was and if he placed a call to me,then something important might had really come up.
