As she made her way to the living room, she called back, “Let’s get to work” Tara followed obediently. She hadn’t noticed the large cloth sack Maggie carried until the old woman reached inside and pulled out a thick, leather bound book. Tara stretched forward to take a closer look. The book showed years of wear. The binding was worn thin and the pages were yellowed. At the end of a long black ribbon that was glued within the binding of the book was an octagon shaped crystal that measured one and one-half inches in length and one inch in diameter.

Then Kai moved it toward her across the desk. - What's that?- Miyuki asked, touching the book lightly with her fingertips, but still felt the slight vibrations from this volume. - You are studying, so you know for sure that one need a textbook to learn from. You could say that this is a textbook that contains the basics of magic. It has what I already talked about, but with more details, so I would like you to read at least the first chapter during this week, until our next meeting.- Kai explained.- Now, as we have fifteen more minutes, we will try to release your power that you have crammed deep inside yourself.- he added after a moment, getting up from his swivel chair, then walked over to

Seducing my Ex-husband back

Seducing my Ex-husband back

Something dead. "Alexander is playing checkers," David said softly. "I'm playing chess. And I've already taken his Queen." He walked out into the night. I scrambled for my phone. My hands were shaking so hard I dropped it twice. I had to warn her. I had to tell her. David wasn't the nice brother. He wasn't the safe option. He was the vulture waiting for us all to die. I dialed Claire's number. Ring. Ring. Ring.

Mate me at Hollywood

Mate me at Hollywood

So she saved up all her pennies, got on a plane, and traveled to a far, faraway land. Nobody told this princess that there were werewolves in this land. Nobody told her she would end up entangled in their crazy world. Don't look too far, I'm the princess in this fairytale. Oh, who am I kidding? This isn't a fairytale, and I'm no princess. "You know what I loathe, Lara?" David asks quietly as he steps closer to the bed, hands behind his back. His voice is calm. But his face tells a more tempered tale. His chest is bare, sweat glistening on his abs beneath the dim, dancing lights.

No More Sweet Sugar Baby For You Daddy

“Oh wow. Maria. This is all for you from David. He wants you to wait to open all this when he’s here. He’ll be here soon. Wow. Something’s up. Okay, I think it’s time we all should leave this alone. Shall we go find something else to do while we wait. I think there’s something interesting is going to happen soon.” “Don’t you dare suggest we go find a book to read. I’ll never be able to read a thing. I am curious about David’s thoughts on this. He has a plan, but I don’t know what it is. My curiosity shines, lighting a city. Ugh. I can’t predict this man now.”

I actually liked this, it was ok, if they communicated better than Lia would not have been able to get in between them but then we wouldn't have a book. Grammar wasn't the best but I understood what was going on. Happy that Jonathan found someone also

This story is pure crap! The FL is stupid, weak and easely manipulated and the ML is a child, acting like a dog with a bone. He gets everything he wants even when the female character is right. You can see which character the author likes the most. Badly written too. Not Worthy.

Drowned under his Touch

Drowned under his Touch

Martha bellowed. "Yeah?" He sniffled and felt his teeth with his tongue. "Fuck, she broke my tooth," he grimaced. David appeared with the book Josh had talked about earlier. "We got it," he said, with a smug smile on his face, holding the book up as he gasped for breath after sprinting to them. "It's all.in there. Names, connections, locations, partners, every juicy detail of it," he handed the book to John, "it a freaking diary of all his crimes against humanity. He is a really bad man."

CHEATERS NOT SINNERS. (MxM)

Steven carefully read through the wordings line by line to be sure he never missed a thing, he was sure he read some words twice or more to be cleared. Why would David write me a letter if he was here? Is he avoiding me? Steven felt someone blow a gentle breeze on his neck and he smiled. This time his lips did move into an actual smile, he felt it and by the look on their faces Steven was sure they had seen him smile. Steven turned his head to the side to see who had blown air into his neck but was disappointed when he found no one. Steven knew it was David, he was just messing with him. Steven went on to scribble his answer in the book.

this is one of yet another great story but the demise of the characters is heartbreaking.. despite it having a tragic end..it also has moral lesson that we should use the time we have with our loved ones the best way we can.. I recommend it highly ( if you don't mind the tragic ending)

This was one sad story I don't think I will be getting over this one in a while. I sat for a moment after reading it just brooding on the character's death but otherwise this was one brilliant story and I enjoyed ever moment of it. Totally recommend it if you can handle the sad ending.
