The smoke from the light beam cleared, and for a heartbeat, I thought it was over But then, a low, guttural growl rose from the shadows of the darkened cave. Azrael crawled out of the crater my light had made. His skin was charred and peeling, and one of his massive wings hung limp and broken at his side, but his eyes were glowing with a terrifying, murderous purple flame. He wasn't dead. If anything, the pain had made him faster and more dangerous.

If he were really serving his God - he would try to bring Elaine to the third territory. A part of me refused to believe it, to believe that Azrael had not only deceived Callisto and Elaine - but also me and all the readers who considered him someone incredible. But in the end it wasn’t a reality? Fictional characters tend to be exactly what we want as we read and throw our expectations at them. Maybe... the fact that I liked Azrael so much blinded me initially to the truth that was so clear in front of my eyes. In the end, Azrael had no reason to hate Asra and yet he hated her even within the novel, even before the concubine began stalking Elaine.

"Everyone knows Azrael is the angel of death, which is kinda suiting because everyone knows what will happen if you fall in love with an angel," Anxiety washes over me. "That's why I'm trying to forget about the guy," Maze grins in her cheerful way. "Azrael is known for being a player; my mother talked about him the other day, complaining she is losing workers to the parasite. He lives in a castle down south, and apparently, he is hiring maids,"

” Noticing that I haven’t even made an attempt to speak or even move -since I was practically unable to even breathe anymore- she only continued, “Ookaaay, first things first,” “In case you were wondering, the reason why Azrael isn’t a fallen is that he’s...Well let’s just say he’s not your “regular” Archangel like the others, since he’s one of The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and all that shit... And since his grace is practically bound to my soul...Uh...let’s just say that as long as I’m alive, he’s...He will still be his...usual self...” Even though that last sentence left me feeling somewhat confused -mostly by the way she so evasively explained it- I however chose to mainly focus on

But now… “Don’t you know you aren’t wanted here, traitor?” Lara demanded, and Angel could practically feel the bleached blonde glaring at her through the stall door. Angel held her breath, hoping she might be able to slow her racing heart so that the werewolves on the other side of the door wouldn’t hear it. Yeah, right, a good joke, Angel. “Leave her, she’s not worth it,” Reebah snarled in return. “She’s a nobody. Less than a nobody.”

Zap'phiria halted in her track as soon as she heard the Priests question. A cunning smile crept her lip as twitch her fingers. She slightly opened her mouth and then she uttered "I will make Lucifer my slave through Angelica" She said and the priest jaw dropped.
